Imma be perfectly honest

Idc where anything goes

I am so excited to be able to visit the park with my family and have my kids feel like there’s something for them. This park was a challenge to visit with younger kids. Dorney, Hershey and honestly even the boardwalks in seaside and wildwood would be my selection before ever considering Great Adventure.

Great adventures absolute biggest draw back was the lack of inclusivity for younger children or families. Sure there were kids rides and things to do but it was pretty minimal. This is exactly what the park needed. An actual area where families can go on rides together. The intermediate ride experience.

Kids won’t see 2 wild mouse’s. They’ll see 2 rides they can go on with mom and dad. This addition is going to bring in some serious crowds I guarantee it

I get the sentiment @clear and I don't disagree, but I will say that I very much do care where these rides go. I am looking for a smart, coherent, forward-thinking area layout with consideration given to sight lines, aesthetic cohesion, guest comfort, etc. It's rare that a regional park gets to design a whole area from the ground up with very, very few constraints. Looking forward to seeing what they come up with.

I also think the park has also had a huge problem in recent years with having their medium-thrill flat rides scattered around the park. If they're all in one well-packaged area it'll be way better for guest experience and also operations. Instead of guests walking all the way across the park to find that Swashbuckler is closed for the day, they can just turn to one of the rides immediately next to it, and the ride ops will now be centralized, which should make breaks and scheduling easier!

Hey no absolutely I get that and in a way I care as well. The placement definitely matters. But for me it’s just the simple fact that this is even coming that’s the biggest factor for me

Hey, it doesn't make sense to me either. I'm sure we'll see soon enough. They're likely going to have to pour a concrete pad sometime soon.
If I remember correctly, in that podcast Ryan did a few weeks ago he did say the scope of the addition was rapidly expanding, so maybe the plan was 4 flats near Superman and then Cajun was thrown in later. Would definitely prefer keeping the sky coaster plot empty for now though to be replaced with a more substantial addition (along with go karts and right stuff) down the line.

I guess they could put it there until they are ready to do something more long-term with that plot, since it could be years down the line. I would say that after the boardwalk is completely renovated, it would be more important to focus on golden kingdom, rolling thunder plot, and northern star arena before filling in that area. So if that’s the perspective the park also took it would make sense.

To me, the most sensible location for Ragin' Cajun would be where the go-karts were so it's roughly opposite the 2027 coaster. That would create nice spacing between the three larger rides in the area, then the smaller flats could be inserted between them to make sure everything is full of kinetic energy. Whatever they do, I hope it doesn't extend too far into the Green Lantern plot because a longer dead end is definitely not what the park needs.

Dark horse prediction is that Superman will get rethemed, and the retheme on Cajun will act as the junior version of whatever Superman is rethemed to, sorta like with JDC and Lil’ Devil Coaster

I would’ve suspected something like this to happen between Cajun and the mack spinner instead, but the different colors of the tracks puts that to rest I think

Another post today... but still no announcement. It has to be this week if they want to announce before opening day!

I think they will have the pathway to Superman open and landscaped for opening day this weekend, and a construction wall along the GL plot. The new rides will go there, in the GL plot, as an extension of the Boardwalk. This will allow them to finish construction quickly without disrupting the existing Boardwalk area.

Like OC Flyers or something of that nature. Being "Superman" is so out of place with all these changes. And the Gift Shop can be one of those Junk shops you see on every boardwalk.

Announcement any time now........
