The park is 100% better off for flats than it was in 2024. I’ll take this package over a rarely functional Tourbillon, an aging Top Spin, a great drop tower that nobody really cared about, a skycoaster, and two (unfortunately) SBNO icons of the park any day of the week. Ragin’ Cajun/Barrels o’ Fun is also a massive upgrade over Lantern.

Damn, there's so much in that announcement. Very impressed.

If I have one tiny critique, it's that I really hope the names of the Flying Scooters and especially the Wave Swinger aren't final. Wave Swinger in particular should, in my opinion, obviously be named Flying Wave as @sfgatim06 has previously highlighted. They can play to Six Flags Great Adventure nostalgia and it fits perfectly with the theme of the new area.

Seems like they hit it out of the park with these additions. Hypno Twister and Super Roundup in particular give off boardwalk funhouse vibes which I really like.

As GASM stated already, the park is in a far better position flats wise than it was a couple years ago.

For those that are STILL complaining about all the ride removals (nobody here is, it’s mainly thoosies on other platforms) here are five rides, many of which are still pretty new, to address that

Overall, I love how this new section looks, but I do kind of wish they'd added a new spinning ride.

The Wave Swinger and the Flying Scooters seem a bit too similar to each other in terms of ride experience. I would have swapped one of them out for a Rodeo Stampede or a Tilt-A-Whirl or something along those lines, just to add a bit more variety.
But I guess they were using what was available from Great America, and maybe those weren't options. And if the area becomes popular, I suppose it might be expanded in the coming years.
I don't mean to sound negative, though... I still think this is a huge improvement for the park.

I’m bummed that this is going to be an additional dead end off the already dead end of Superman’s pathway, but I’m hopeful that it’ll be a lively enough area to still draw people back to it.

I wonder if there's any chance a connection point has been left to work a guest path under the new coaster to connect back to Golden Kingdom or anything like that.

Hard to know what may or may not be needed long-term, but I do think an option for a connection back there would be good because yeah, it definitely looks to me like they're stacking dead ends pretty majorly.

I mean I think we all saw this coming as time went on but man this is awesome to see. This is exactly the type of addition this park needs more of, renovating entire areas with large ride packages in addition to the large coaster additions. Personally, I'm most excited for the Flying Scooters, one of my favorite types of flats and I'm so happy we're finally getting one at Great Adventure. Interested to see if the game stalls and the other buildings on the boardwalk get a repaint. I think they really need it, the yellow and red is faded and just doesn't look great in general. Would love to see then get a blue and white/tan repaint to really lean into the boardwalk theme. Big W for Great Adventure today, can't wait to see this all come together.

They let it be known at the site visit last week by the influencers, and Ryan re-confirmed in the video above, that all the game stalls and boardwalk eateries are getting a total facelift over this year and next in phases. 👍

If the promo pic is reasonably accurate, gotta think this is the plot where everything is going. No Superman or hanger in the background, so pretty sure they're not dropping all this on either side of the new boardwalk up to Superman. There's a sliver of GL they're not likely using right now, so that leaves room for future flat additions if this goes well. Superman's re-theme will also make a big difference on the look of the whole area, too.

Seems like construction will be beholden to and in stages as they assemble the '27 coaster and get those tracks laying on the ground off the site of the Pier.

Wasn't this confirmed already? It may just not open until the Golden Kingdom has more going on (or for Fright Fest to get to the houses, etc).

I think someone mentioned at one point something about Ryan saying there would be a path below the inverted launch, but I don't know where that was reportedly said first-hand to be able to confirm or grab the exact wording.

Technically four since Super Round Up is far from new to the park, but your point still stands. I’m actually perfectly okay with them leaving its previous plot empty for the foreseeable future, that area isn’t really hurting for rides and that + Skyride’s Dream Street station opened up a pretty nice plot for future expansion.

While I wouldn't say the concept art looks amazing, for the limited time they had to pull off this project it definitely looks quite good. As I said previously, this isn't going to be a headlining addition for anyone, but it helps to round out the park's family offerings and shows that Six Flags is committed to the future of this property.

I was hoping they would release concept art from an aerial view. Is anyone able to find site plans or does NJ make it difficult?
