Ryan has said total staggered reno of buildings and pavement in Boardwalk.Admittedly that’s pretty cool, but I’m hoping that long term they’re not done with the pathways in that area. Various iterations in concrete from different eras with scattered bits of wooden boards. Feels a bit disjointed when taking it in all together.
Do we think they’ll repave the entire boardwalk? I know they did some paths but the rest of it really doesn’t look great
Glad to hear it, hopefully they do the same for the rest of the park eventuallyI think it has been confirmed by Ryan that it's all happening eventually—just a multi-year process.
They're about halfway done the Boardwalk plaza re-paving. Behind the fence on the Slingshot side it's almost all paved-and-stamped up to Superman. Probably done by next week and then that side of the fence could come down. The other side looks like it'll all re-open at once with the Pier section when it's ready in a few months. They closed off Superman again today when I was there; Superman wasn't running but the path and bathrooms and shop by it were until about 4:00 when I was standing there taking some pics of Project Purple and a guy came out with an A-frame closed sign headed for the beginning of the new fencing and asked me to head out down to the Boardwalk gamestands area with him.Glad to hear it, hopefully they do the same for the rest of the park eventually
There's space where the old Green Lantern lift/first drop curve was. I still think this may be used either as a parking lot or future haunted house space... it was parking lot space prior to GL but I don't think they're giving that space back to parking.Does it appear that they left room on the boardwalk for more additional flat rides to be added? Or did they use basically all of the available space
I can see the leftover space be used for a new fright fest building in case something were to happen to the current buildings in golden kingdom & movietown or the old right stuff buildingThere's space where the old Green Lantern lift/first drop curve was. Even better if they put a walkway under Project Purple, and make it less of a dead end, looping back to the Golden Kingdom. Lets them use the old Ka plot and current haunted houses near El Toro for some other use.
