Deck the Halls has an interesting stage setup. There is a balcony and a large fireplace. The musicians will be sitting in the same boxes as they were for Night Beats. Interesting is all I can say about the stage setup this year.

EDIT: I would also like to say sorry, Disney has the most lights with 8 million but they clump theirs all together vs. spreading it throughout the whole park. Funny story abut Pompeii though, their goal was actually to put something in there that was visible from the highway. Mission accomplished. However most of the BGW's lights aren't clumped together, sorta.

Other than Osbourne and Cind Castle Dream Lights please elaborate on how they are all clumped together. IIRC Pompeii as the Clark Griswold style of lighting.

I guess some people just never leave Va.

was something that Scott said. I would love to go and see it in person to judge for myself but I was more or so paraphrasing what he originally stated.

EDIT:

For those interested in where the park purchases their lighting, you can check out this site: http://s4lights.com/ They provided most of the lights at the park. I believe the light strands for Pompeii are the Meteor Shower stands? I am not positive on that, but I stumbled upon this and thought I'd share.

They are not Meteor Shower stands. I went to s4's showroom at AmericasMart and they lights they use were crab lights. The showroom director went on and on at how they spent so much on this attraction last year with each strand only being 9ft and costing $30. Just imagine how many strands it took to cover it.

So did anyone else happen to drive by and notice that the lights on Pompeii (and the rest of the park I'm pretty sure) were on last night around 6pm!

From what I could see it all looked pretty good!

Saw some "Nacht Tower" testing when I drove by yesterday. Wasn't really all that exciting, but it didn't seem to stay at the top as long as I would have thought.

They are trying to practice and test so that capacity won't be an issue for the tower. The park is still far from ready especially Festa but they still have 3 days

Festa is looking in bad shape for three days left. So much still needs to be done. It looks like a mix if a construction site and 50's Christmas stuff just lying around. Tons of lights are not hung and electricity still needs to be worked on. In fact the Funny Bone Buffet sign is still in place however La Cucina will feature indoor heated eating this year. My sources are very worried but I feel confide t the park can get it done.

I was very bored today so I did a little math. BG has 6 million lights this year. If you got all 6 million and put them end to end with each bulb being about an inch away from each other, than the park has about 94 miles of lights. Correct me if I'm wrong, which it is highly possible that I am, but that's a lot of lights,.

I was told that they have enough lights that will stretch all the way from the park to Richmond and back a bit. Also, interesting fact, the park has bought every last hand painted glass C9 bulb in the country. Team members were told if the lights broke and they ran out of spares, they need to start painting clear ones because there are no more. Of course you can still buy transparent colored C9s, LED C9s but it is just the hand painted glass C9s you can't purchase.

Keyword is stretch. That is wiring included from bulb to bulb. The other unknown variable is whether or not infrastructure wiring is included in their number. That would still classify as lights.

For example, the average car out of the factory how has between 25 and 30 miles worth of wire.

Not EVERY C9, just the hand painted glass C9s silly :p

Atlantis, there will always be unknown variables. I am just going to round and say they have approximately 75 - 100 miles of lights roughly.

This is obscene. Why would a theme park be going to every store in the country buying lights when they could have ordered them from wholesale companies. Never have I ever heard of a theme park buying regular store shelf lights. What has happened?

C9 hand painted muti colored strands still available all over online. Why wouldn't the park just buy them off line?
