In the park typing this, arrived around 3:30 and Apollo is stuck on the top of the lift? I'll try to confirm this later with pictures if it's still there.

EDIT: Griffon was running empty trains, down this afternoon apparently and verbolten has gone back to it's roots (verbroken) very disappointed in the down time today.

I'm sure maintenance just has a lot on their hands right now. I think Apollo's Chariots breakdown yesterday totally threw off the department. I'm sure once they get things back together, the rides will be more operational.

Sorry to hear that John. I can usually handle 1 being down, but 3 would surely piss me off. Hope you can still enjoy yourself and thanks for the updates.

Griffon eventually opened back up, no word on verbolten though. Nonetheless Apollo being closed really is tough to swallow, 7+ years of visiting the park and I have never seen that. Considering it's an extremely popular ride and usually the one everyone dashes to from the gates it will be interesting to see how quickly she's up and running again. (Fortunelty BGW doesn't have to deal with the month+ long down time on a major attraction) *cough*i305*cough*. Guess all we can do is wait...

As much as I could talk about her for hours, AC is going to get jealous, if we keep up this discussion here.

So, does anyone have any actual information on what issues Apollo's Chariot is facing? I can't help but feel that it was facing some serious issues yesterday that may have persisted today. Seeing all the attention surrounding the maintenance building is just extremely out of the ordinary especially for a coaster with the operational time that the coaster has.

I was at the park today with a friend from Pennsylvania. Apollo was shut down all day with the train stuck at the top of the lift (I think it may have been a lift motor issue). Griffon also had lift problems the majority of the afternoon, and Alpengeist was down for unknown reasons for about 15 minutes - lost my new phone on the drop too. Overall a pretty poor day for the park (and me). It must've been the heat or something.

Bolt and Loch Ness were the only coasters running well. No major shutdowns when I was there.

I guess you've never heard of that pile of junk called Mach Tower before ;)

He said major attraction.  Mach Tower hasn't been open long enough to be called that! :p

Well generally speaking, most of the general public would only consider roller coasters "major attractions". But I was just referring to the coasters in the park. I could have been a little more clear about that!

Incase anyone was curious here is the picture of Apollo stuck on the lift.

I think I have witnessed only 2-3 instances where AC got stuck on its lift, and only one instance where they had to e-vac the people out of the train.

As far as Griffon goes, I'm really not surprised. Last spring Griffon was acting up terribly. I only got to ride it once in my first 10 or so visits last year, and not because of line length or just because I wanted to skip it. Ever since then Griffon has been 'touch and go,' in terms of maintenance.

This coaster was on the Temporarily Closed Attractions list today. I didn't go into Festa so I don't know for sure, but if it was down all day, I must figure the ride is going through some pretty intense issues at this point.

Maybe my experience is unusual, but AC is down at some point during the day almost every time I visit the park.  That is why I always end up at Roman Frieze.  Honestly, I could be totally off-base, but this all feels like much ado about nothing.  I know it was running over the weekend.
