Does it matter about the specific day? I mean they are at least doing something this year. It is definitely a lot better than having absolutely nothing.

I recall riding the coaster a week or two before the grand opening press event with Fabio.  Even then, I think the official event was late.

For the 1999 season, BGW opened on Saturday, March 27. Apollo's Chariot had a soft opening that weekend and a few days later (the following Tuesday on March 30) Fabio got fowled at the media event. If you rode it before the media event then it was that weekend.

Really, this is worth complaining about? Why does everything warrant a celebration? 15 years isn't really much of a milestone in roller coaster years. Next year, when it gets it's drivers license, are we going to send it on errands for milk, look fondly back on the days when it was only in diapers, and ponder who it'll take to prom?

Is this a big deal? Not really. Now, celebrating a beloved coaster's 35th anniversary with a drink cup? Well...

What was the impetus for the FoF event? Was it internal to SEAS, or did Sesame Street play a role?

On another note Great Adventure turned 40 this year and the Eli Bridge Scrambler they have is 45. Do you see any celebrations for that?

Very nice day in the park on Sunday the 15th, although AC was down when we first tried to ride around 2 PM and it never resumed operation on Sunday. Anyone hear what the issue was or know if it is back in operation?
