The trains are supposed to be generic sports cars, not race cars. I'd personally rather see orange and green replaced with black and white

Or silver.

I know they aren't F1, but the green and orange look like colors used on rebooted VW Bugs. British Racing Green, white, silver, black, etc would make more sense to me.

I like them the way they are personally. Plus it's a family coaster so I don't think kids would really care. Bright colors attract them :p

Is the verbolten insider tour worth purchasing? It seems like it would be just for the fastpass on a Saturday of Howl-O-Scream, but I was wondering if there were any other insights?

It was fun, worth the cheap tour price.

I agree, but if you have the same tour guide as I did, the facts are a little unreliable. For example he told our group that BBW was retired after 26 years! That really grinds my gears.

I have been on a lot of tours... Sometimes the tour guides just BS stuff and feed the guests absolute crap to see if anyone objects... One of my friends (who used to be a tour guide) actually asked me to give some info/clarify his info about certain rides on a tour once!

I think many of us have had the same Verbolten tour guide. I only went on the tour once, but I know for a fact having looked at the blue prints of the ride 100 times that he was outright making things up as he went along. I don't want to give a bad rap to the whole tour guide team though, there are some really great knowledgeable guides and then there are others that will admit that don't know and are willing to ask the right people to find out.

I am surprised there is no uproar about the removal of some of Verbolten's theming. Apparently no one noticed the changes to the entrance. Quite sad actually. I thought everyone would have been all over this one.

You don't have to ride it. The construction signage that also said Verbolten at the entrance was removed and the planter bead thing it was in was paved over so now it is just an empty wide open piece of pavement in front of the entrance.

Remove themed signage from the parks newest attraction, and nobody panics...They paint over the Wilkommen house, and everybody loses their frickin mind!

Its probably been missed due to the amount of lights in Christmas Town and everyone doing other things.

Is this the missing signage in question?

The plot is paved over.

If I recall correctly, the sign was removed for CT last year as well for a few weeks (if not, it was removed sometime early in the regular season before it came back). It was definitely showing signs of wear during the regular season (lights getting trampled, the flashing lights on top falling off, etc). I don't see this as permanent, although it bugs me that it isn't there.

Yes Joe that is the sign I am referring too. They removed the sign and then ripped out the garden bed and paved over the area so it is just flat pathway.

Personally I am surprised no one had gone crazy. It was part of the immersive theming the ride offers. Which brings me to my question.

Do you prefer excellent themed sign or do you prefer plain open flat pathway?

Thanks for the clarification, Party Rocker. Honestly, I don't really think the sign was in any way immersive, nor was it very attractive. Again, it looked very temporary, like it was meant only to be there for the ride's construction. The sign was very cheesy and seemed more construction-themed than "road-closed" themed. Plus, the "road-closed" theme wouldn't even be necessary at that point in the experience, as the theme of the queue is simply touring the quirky auto tour center.

I think the removal of this sign will help with some of the bottle-necking of the area (which is already and enormous problem), but it's too bad that even more greenery has been sacrificed. :-/

Just like the sundial situation. Those broken pots and theming was not really needed and there wasn't much there anyway. No one really notices they're gone now.
