Details for the preview events have been announced. Earliest possible opportunity is an April 28 charity event which costs $120. Free passholder preview start later that same day: https://www.cedarpoint.com/blog/2024/top-thrill-2-preview-events
I'm choosing to attribute the shaking there to it being an empty train. If you've ridden I305 with a handful of people on the train, you'll know how much that thing can shuffle vs. a fully weighted train. We'll see though.
Top Thrill 2 really is a sequel, all the way down to launching ride components at guests again.Soo it launched a seat panel into the air lol
I am just speculating and guessing here, but with the new launch system I wonder if they have the ability for a "boost" function to keep it running on windy days when rollbacks would most off occur.Let's hope they properly secure the passengers! But also, isn't this thing flying over the top here faster than normal?
Why not? is it against policy, or is it just due to the operators? As much as I would love (and probably regret) to get a launch with that massive airtime over the top, it will probably never launch even close to that speed with passengers, even with a very strong headwind.
