Have a couple kid-less days booked at CP & Breakers in less than a month. A tually looking forward to this, even though I've been slightly disappointed by this redesign from the start.

so the locker policy seems controversial to say the least. essentially making top thrill 2 pay per ride. no phones in line, no shoes without a proper strap or back.

my question is; does the Lost and Found have a policy against losing your own things and picking them up later?

heres a link for anyone who hasn't seen the rider safety guidelines rules

Are we sure they aren’t implementing a system like TT or Vengeance in the line?

"the integration of lockers into the queue, similar to those at Steel Vengeance, was not possible".

More like, 'we don't want to integrate them'. It looks like it COULD have been possible, but not an ideal solution:

Would have required a long (dark blue) path/access to get to the lockers (light blue).. or stairs & a bridge going over the flat turn into the station. Either way, not ideal. So no implementation.

I guess Cedar Fair didn't think Yukon Striker's conveyor/ bin system as a success? We havent seen anything else like it since. I feel it would have been more realistic if they implemented it during station design.

I had zero issues with Yukons bin system and all the seemed to be good with it as well.

Has a drink cup ever been put in one of those Yukon Striker bins and then spilled when it went uphill and then downhill?

Yes, which is why only empty drink cups are allowed in the bins. If I recall correctly, they added bottle holders to the outside of the bins.
I stand out as an American at Canada's Wonderland, as nearly all the locals have draw string bags, containing everything but the kitchen sink. (Having zippered pockets, I have never used the bins.)
Canada's Wonderland definitely considers the bin system a success, as they added it to Wonder's Mountain Guardian. For years, the number one guest complaint was being forced to buy a locker to store bags for WMG.
I wonder at Cedar Point, if I show up to the entrance of TT2, and have no credit card or cash, but have a car key, will I not be allowed to ride? Maybe the park can add a couple thousand free small pocket item lockers outside the ride like Universal does? I am personally excited to have a line with no cell phones. As the squeal at Moreys Pier says, you can pass the time talking with other people - or twittling your thumbs.

It still looks really bumpy in the videos I just watched. I mean it might be fine on-ride, but it doesn't appear to be any less bumpy then when it had a mostly empty train. In fact, though, the bumpiness might make it feel faster.

I strongly recommend having the lap bar very tight. Even though the spike is more fun with the bar only a little tight (floating is fun), the 270 dergree twist will make your thighs regret it. With the higher trains, it is more of an in line twist than a heartline roll. The lapbars cannot be adjusted tighter after the trains are dispatched.
If you are a mechanical nut like me, you will have a great view of the break fins and wheels moving in the final section of the normal line before boarding. If you go Fast Lane, you will not get a great view of the pneumatic wonder land.
Front seat is best, as you loose alot of the air in the face effect in all the other rows, even row two (even row seats are further apart than odd row seats).
Don't worry about the shaking in the videos, it is not bad and enhances the feeling of speed.
I wont bother typing a bit singing praises about the ride, take your pick from the hundreds of other people who have already done so.
The Magnum restrooms renovation came out great, although I strongly caution anyone from taking photos of the inside of the restrooms, as camera usage is forbidden by the park in restrooms.

Thanks for the thoughts @jscll! Where were your expectations going in and where does the coaster fall in relation to those?

Also, any early impressions of how accommodating the trains are? Any reliability issues so far?

Overall, I've been surprised by how unanimous the praise for the coaster has been. Still early days and much of the buzz is still from Cedar Point approved media at this point, but maybe, possibly Zamperla has actually pulled this off...?

I did not see any signs of any reliability issues. The reatraints are similar Pantheon's, but the seats are a bit wider, and a bit more accommodating. If you cannot ride Pantheon due to your stomach being too big, you probably will have trouble with TT2, however if your issue is your thighs are too big for Pantheon, you will probably be fine on TT2. If you are on the West coast, the restraints are similar to Manta at Sea World San Diego, but the sides of the seats do not wrap around as far. These trains suffer from none of the issues that plague Thunderbolt at Luna Park.
One of the first reporters to ride the ride live on air said she experienced whiplash, I think I have a different definition of whiplash than she does. I don't think she would like Maverick. The initial launch is not as strong as I was expecting, you build up to the top speed rather than being kicked by a giant. Great ride, just don't expect the old launch. In summary, I'll get as many rides in on Kingda Ka as I can while I still can.
