Not really surprised they go this way. That means across the chain for tastes the same, looks the same, and is easily repeatable. Given the way SEAS has taken the parks, treating food more like a chain restaurant isn't surprising.

I think my only *minor* issue is the outdoor sign. The flat, printed sign looks cheap. Something with a little dimension to it would look way better. Don't even mind the similar printed ones inside, but the outdoor sign looks temporary for lack of a better word. Other than that (and the food!) this looks like what BGW should look like. Great job!

I wanted to highlight the new guest flow structure (or whatever it is called). It reminded me a lot of how many counter service restaurants function in Orlando.

When you enter, you go to one of three cashiers, unless you have a mobile order. Once they ring you up, they send you to one of four pickup windows (the fourth is labeled “Mobile Order”). Your order appears on a server-side screen at your window, and they give you your food. There is a long condiment station behind you, as well.

We were literally the first people through the door when Squire’s opened today, so I don’t honestly know how long lines will get. Hopefully, however, it will be quicker than the old system of having one line that backs up and takes forever.

On another note, I don’t understand the chicken sandwich. While I appreciate their offering a low fat burger alternative, why is that the only chicken option? Why didn’t they also have some kind of bacon/cheese/bbq/etc chicken sandwich on the menu? And why wasn’t it even marinated or seasoned with something?

I like the decor. That about the best things I can say for the place.

OK to be fair I also like that they offer more sauces then just the simple ketchup mustard that most parks have.

Burger was OK but tasted like the standard mass produced probably precooked and reheated frozen burger. Fry serving seems noticeably smaller then what I got earlier this week at Jungle Market at KD with my burger. standard coke machines why not install some of those freestyle machines like the place by Nessie got. seriously I pre-diabetic and really get annoyed that in this day and age there usually is only one sugar free drink choice besides water. Almost no line at 6:30 on a busy day makes me think this place might have some excitement issues maybe investing more in the menu would have helped.

That ‘side’ of fries looks pitiful! It’s like 10 fries

I can tell you right now that those 3 freestyle machines cost the park into the six figure range. Freestyle machines are NOT cheap. For the context, the small, countertop models that some Publix stores have, run $21,000 new. Imagine what the full size ones like the one BGW just put in 3 of cost.

French’s ketchup, Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ, Ken’s mayo? I wonder what possessed them to go with that over the standard row of Heinz condiments.

Is it reasonable to think that the park may get a kickback/reduced rate on those machines since they have such a close relationship?

Yes, Coca-Cola spends a lot of money in marketing in amusement parks. When you see a Coke photo op or sign in a park, it is a paid advertisement. (Either a direct paid ad, or through a special rate on syrup or soda fountains.)

That is true, but in any case the machines, even if discounted, still aren’t going to be cheap.
