Interesting.

I honestly can't imagine stopping at BGW just for the food, myself.  We sometimes do stop at Pierces.

Once upon a time the food was 100% worth going there JUST to eat. It was a big part of why we initially bought season passes.

But I agree, they should have tried marketing breakfast, before just canceling it.

There goes that word marketing again!

I ate at Squire's last year and thought that the breakfast was barely of average quality. Eggs and sausage seemed the same type and grade you get in a free hotel breakfast buffet. The english muffin was limp and soggy. The star of this meal was the fried potato patty and it was hot, crispy and delicious.

And there you stated the largest issue with dining there now, inconsistent quality. That vampire dining everyone raved about last year I had a terrible experience at. The food was cold, soggy, and dry. Meanwhile Swift raved about it, and I trust his judgement on food.

Honestly, I've been going to BGW since Nessie was a baby, and I have never been overwhelmed with the quality. I enjoy Trappers; Grogans is fine; I liked the food at the F&WF; but at the end of the day, nothing has ever stood out as above average for me. Legoland is probably the only park, where I have been impressed by the food.

The only thing I've ever been impressed with, consumption-wise, at Epcot is the Italian wine sampler. Epcot's food is above par, themepark-wise, but that's not really saying much.

MMMMmmmm... Wine.

IMO the food used to be a ton better. It was not uncommon to see people post on Disney Forums about how great QSR food there is. That is what must be kept in mind, though, the food is QSR so there will not be a Smoke's or Pierce level of quality. Its quality and price-point used to go very well hand in hand. Hopefully you are not talking about Legoland in Florida, gag.

Yepp, I agree, the food is good but not at the prices they are commanding (thank Dining Plan and MM+ for that). I could write a novel on the state of WDW dining and the politics behind it but that can be left for a different thread.

Even the FW special events for tasting are not worth the cost anymore.

I never expect much from park food. Not even the much-vaunted Mythos Restaurant is really that remarkable to me.

And yes, I was actually struck by how much I liked several of the things I ate at Legoland Florida. I really like their croissants, actually. And the apple fries.

It is all a matter of personal preference.

I have to say that I fully agree on Mythos, there is a ton of hype around a place that just does not live up to it. Still not bad for its price-point but I have a feeling that will rise soon enough. If I were to tout any LL eatery it is the IZone(?) Panini place.

My favorite place that still holds value in WDW is Trail's End at FW. We will eat there a few times at least on each trip which translates to 20-30 times a year. WDW management better stay away from it.

Breakfast at Squire's...we shall miss thee. :(

Like the new tables & chairs!! ;)

Sad to see it go, this was the first year I took advantage of it.  :(  I'm not a big fan of breakfast Burritos. Well I guess I will be stopping before I get there.
