There seems to be a lot less ground covering in this area. Hopefully only due to Spring planting patterns. The view to the other side seems to grow more open and naked to me. I don't see the need to remove shrubbery if nothing goes in it's place but mulch. Whole trees are missing near the aviary. We need to keep the remaining trees and shrubs, not add more mulch and just potted plants.

I thought there was a wall or something. But, back to 2009 at least, it has been plants. It certainly seems much more open than before. Others in our group this weekend also thought something was missing.

Is the castle wall leading to Rhinefeld gone? If so then darn it, it was such a charming structure.

No it is still there. I'm very confused as to where these accusations of the area being more bare are coming from, but from all my recollection and research, there have been no landscaping changes in that area for years. I encourage everyone to reserve judgement until the leaves grow in.

Put up the image of the castle gate on Street View. The castle wall was on the other side. Shrubbery was just as lot heavier making it harder to see through. Still disappointed to see less trees on that side (or maybe the leaves just need to grow in a little more).

From what I'm seeing unless there is a crack in the fountain on the other side I believe the water might be coming from underneath fountain such as the from plumbing. But Then again the picture isn't clear enough to make an accurate determination, you would have be up close in order to figure out were all the water is coming from

I'm sure the flowers will be fine, they might actually appreciate the extra water with the abnormally warm days coming up.

Anyways, I'm glad the park got to the issue promptly, and it looks like they're being safer than sorry because they seem to be resealing the whole thing.

On second thought, emergency maintenance on this fountain probably occurs often. Many days have I seen one of the animals knocked off the side and into the pool of the fountain.

I can't believe I didn't mention this, but the last weekend I noticed what seemed like a new sound coming from the Glockenspiel. It was still the Westminster chime sound, which is standard. This time however, the chimes were loud. I also did not see any speakers in sight.

It sounded like real chimes that have been restored. The way it eccoed through the village was beautiful. I can see that the park has not given up on this clock yet. The new sealant in the fountain still needs to be painted though.

To some of you this may not seem very important...but I feel like some people might abuse the fact that the people working in the Alpen Laden marketplace don't scan the cups where you get free refills if you bought the cup I am a passmember but I bring friends who purchase this cup all the tine and always notice that they never scan they just give you the benefit of the doubt because I think we all know that there are people in the world that will abuse this.
