with the boardwalk revamp and with the potential addition of flat / new rides … I truly would love to see a kiddie coaster come to the area and it be called the Jet Star.

That’s the coaster that was lost to sandy in seaside heights.
That would be a huge nod to NJ
Minor point: The Casino Pier "Jet Star" (the Schwarzkopf) had been gone for 12 years when Sandy hit. The coaster that took the dip was "Star Jet," an E&F Miler. It's a common mistake haha.

As a kid who grew up there… it’ll always be Jet Star.

Even the new green coaster I just call it the jet star replacement lol

Simplicity

As a fellow kid who grew up in the area, going to Seaside almost every weekend in High School, we're going to have to agree to disagree.
Or we can rant about it for 3 more pages of content while waiting for more track to appear?
Kidding

Im in my 30’s so my childhood years at seaside were amazing. I do genuinely miss those “golden years” of the casino and funtown pier’s. I’d love to see them pay homage to both in some way.

Y’know I was thinking about it…. Near almost any boardwalk is obviously water. Do we think they’re going to incorporate any water elements around the area? Imagine being launched over the water on Phantom Spire? Feels unlikely but man that would be cool

I think they'd be smart to. Something to break up the parking lot and pavement look. Greenery and landscaping will go a long way, but adding in some ponds and/or fountains would just be a natural and welcome touch.

Water would be an awesome addition (particularly under Superman), but I wouldn’t count on it. PS is a huge addition with a seemingly huge budget. That’s where most of this revamp budget is likely going.

I’m just happy revamps being marketed as new additions isn’t a BGW specific thing. CF has done it for a few years and I’m thrilled to see it happening at legacy SF parks that need the most. Whatever it takes to make these places theme parks again.

If they can license ingredients/recipes and staff from Mack's, and make the pies fresh, that would be the only food "chain" I would ever wholeheartedly endorse being in a park.
I would advocate here for Sam’s Pizza Palace in Wildwood.

03:30 - New boardwalk experiences.
04:20 - Ryan confirms asphalt will be replaced with stamped concrete.
05:00 - Ryan would like to announce ride and theming information before they open for the season.
05:20 - Boardwalk project scope has expanded, which is part of why the coaster hasn't been announced yet. Ryan notes that this teasing-style approach is unconventional for legacy CF. Since the scope has expanded, there is/was additional creative work required (logos/backstories/concepts/names/etc), which has led to delays in some items that were set aside to work on others. Since the boardwalk improvements will be realized first, they wanted to have those announcements/theming/etc ready.
06:45 - If the announcements aren't out/fully out by opening day, 'stuff' might start arriving (presumably ride and theming parts) since they are on a short timeline.
07:00 - Seems like Ryan would've liked the info out earlier, but some timelines (potentially coaster shipping?) had moved up slightly.
09:25 - Rides (and the '27 coaster) will likely start construction between March/April with progress by Memorial Day weekend. No statement on if the rides would be open for MDW, but the park has targeted that weekend in the past (or early June) for openings.

Not sure where to put this and obviously take with a grain of salt of salt, but lines up with some of the other rumors we’ve heard
Rajin’ Cajun would not be a good fit for Great Adventure. We don’t need two spinning coasters and it’s a very old ride that needs lots of work. I would rather have new rides for this boardwalk project than relocated used attractions that may need work. This is the chance for GA to revitalize and get high quality attractions. Regardless, I am looking forward to the ride announcements and surprised we are getting all of this for 2026.

I appreciate the candor that Ryan has in all this. We never get the whole story with PR folks, but it does sound like they are scrambling to deliver something behind the scenes. Better than sitting on your hands all season teasing 2027, while the Boardwalk is really only used for a teaser.
