I’m actually so excited to see this revitalized boardwalk area. We got two coasters coming in, hopefully the relocated SFA flying scooters, and potentially Swashbuckler moving over. This area of the park has felt so empty to me ever since the parachutes closed, will be nice to see some life injected back into this area.

Great adventure is really about to have
2 spinning coasters
2 wild mouse’s
2 shuttle coasters

Love it lol

That’s what I call Diversity
to make it clear, six flags New England has 2 coasters and heck, even six flags great america has 2 wild mouse coasters

I wonder those five rides will going where dare devil dive, looping starship & the other half of the green lantern used to be

I atleast hope they’d find a way to retheme it. At the very least give it a fresh coat of paint. Just dropping the ride off at GAdv without doing anything to do it would be an awful look

I'll forgive them if they don't have the aesthetics totally nailed down ahead of its debut this season given the absurdly short time period they're working with, but yeah, for next year, it will need a really nice aesthetic package. Carnival rides can look great in a boardwalk area, but how it's positioned, how it's painted, how it's lit, how it's landscaped, how the queue looks and feels—all of these things will matter a lot and, at least for 2027, I'm ready to hold feet to the fire if it doesn't pan out. Simply dropping an off-the-shelf spinning mouse with little effort into the land renovation that's supposed to reintroduce SFGAdv to park goers won't be anywhere near enough for me.

Ryan's talked quite a bit about the importance of theming and storylines, including non-ride elements. The theming around Iron Menace as it related to the PA steel industry (and sourcing some authentic pieces from bethelem steel) leaves me cautiously optimistic that after their multi-year plan is through we'll have a nicely themed area.

What happened to make everyone so confident that Rajun’ Cajun is coming to Great Adventure? Was there some sort of announcement that I missed?

I just don’t get the logic of not simply waiting until next year to debut the ride if they’re not going to be able to give it the TLC it needs. Obviously you want to have something ready for guests to look forward to, but off the shelf rides with no work done on them isn’t exactly going to do much I don’t think.

I think the park will be limping through this season regardless of what happens. My big fear is that they decide the TLC isn’t necessary and GAdv ends up stuck with a ride that’s two decades old, was relocated twice, and has no work done on it, after getting rid of a ride that had similar circumstances, that one could argue drove more guests away than anything else (Green Lantern)

Yes!!! I was really hoping we'd get Cajun. There's clearly other flats coming alongside this, and to be honest Boardwalk needs every attraction it can get at this point. I think it'll actually do wonders at helping create a genuine boardwalk atmosphere, and more family coasters at this park is always going to be a win.

I remember the rumor last year when markers popped up at Daredevil Dive’s old plot that RC would go there. Do we still think that’s probably the likely spot for it?
I honestly believe it'll go somewhere in Lantern's plot. I see the bulk of the 26 additions going towards that area, they have to do something about Superman Island and it'll create some sick viewing spots for Phantom Spire.

Hmm that would probably create an even longer dead end than before, if a new pathway is built into the green lantern plot and a few rides are placed there. wonder if the plan is to have a pathway that eventually loops back to the existing one in the golden kingdom, going under the 27 coaster.

My honest take is that we can't have it both ways. We can't simultaneously believe that SFGAdv lost an insane number of rides and the park desperately needs more attraction capacity and offerings immediately (War on Lines II-style) while also thinking that the coaster that they may be bringing in with like two or three months notice has to be perfect prior to opening in the middle of what will largely still be a construction zone.

Obviously I'd much prefer that everything be perfect when the first riders experience it, but given the corner the park has backed itself into, they may need to pick a poison and, in this case, I definitely think the better poison to take would be that the new, last minute coaster in the unfinished land isn't completely aesthetically finished when it opens to guests.

Wasn’t it confirmed there would be a walkway under the zero-g stall on the ride, similar to the walkway under The Flash? I may be mid-remembering, but it could look like more of a loop when it’s done, rather than a dead end.

(I also still am sticking with my theory that part of the old GL lift section that sticks out into the parking lot will be new haunted houses, which could be built over the Summer).

I’d agree, if I thought the loss of rides was that big a deal. Sure the park needs ride replacements, but not this second. The guests stopped coming a long time ago.

All I’ll say is that they wouldn’t pull a stunt like this with GAm or Fiesta Texas. They actually got rid of this exact ride at GAm the moment they felt it didn’t live up to a certain standard anymore. It’d be disappointing if this new redevelopment plan for GAdv didn’t operate with that same level of concern.
