If it's a new shell, could it be big enough to fit the Flight of Fear building in it? Of course, we're not Disney, and not even Cedar Point would go that far.
NEVER!!!! NOT POSSIBLE! The best.I think KD has too many coasters crammed into Safari Village as it is, even with Volcano gone.
I wish folks would stop obsessing about a non-existant regulation that a coaster removed must be replaced by another coaster. I am sure KD will be getting another coaster in the future. When, where, and what type TBD.
Heck, there is plenty of room in and behind the mountain footprint for a dark ride, a couple flats, and a coaster on the order of Copperhead Strike. Not saying all that would happen in one year and not saying KD will add yet another coaster there.

An iconic coaster should be replaced with a worthy coaster. End of story.
Correction: "End of your story".An iconic coaster should be replaced with a worthy coaster. End of story.
You reaaaaaally don't understand how theme parks and amusement parks work, do you?An iconic coaster should be replaced with a worthy coaster. End of story.
I don't think @mwhinva is saying Volcano shouldn't be replaced with a coaster. A coaster that replaces Volcano in the lineup doesn't have to be located in the same place. Just like how Hypersonic was replaced with Dominator in the lineup, despite being located at opposite ends of the park.
At this point, the only thing I think we can reasonably infer from new sign is that the Safari Village theme is staying, which I'm happy about. I'd love to see what the park could do with the safari theme with Cedar Fair's new theming kick (like Copperhead Strike).

Yeah I’d like to direct you to the reception to Delirium replacing Shockwave. It’s not pretty. And doing the same after Volcano would be 10x as bad.
