I'll put out there that I love both.

I think that the cable lifts on Intamin are enjoyable from the fact that they really fling you over the top of the lift hill. One thing that I don't like is that the cable doesn't build suspense in the same way that a chain lift does.

B&M lifts are more enjoyable to me because of the suspense, the clicking, the slightly slower lift. But it doesn't fling you over the lift (especially in the back) and has that slow creep down start.

As far for actual ride:
Intamin is very forceful and is like riding a rodeo bull. I like it for shorter tracks because of that. To me nothing beats the intensity of a short Intamin track.

B&M I love because it rolls so nice. There's not too many rough transitions as it all flows really nicely. I like B&M's for longer circuits because of this.

Like to me Skyrush would have never worked as a B&M, just like Fury wouldn't be as great as an Intamin.

So if this indeed a coaster I land on this:
If they are going compact with the layout give me Intamin.
If they are going long out and back give me B&M.

Not really interested in any other manufacturer at this height TBH. They haven't done it so there's a higher potential for wrong than right.

It can' WHat it has to do more with is the forces on the pins in the chain with the weight of the train. the cable is able to pull more weight faster than the chain which has those extra stresses on it. However that doesn't mean the chain is unsafe or has to go really slow.

I mean Fury feels like an Intamin (sort of). Not intense to the point of you blacking out but tons of laterals and high speed banks.

All of this evidence makes me believe that we are getting a new coaster contained in the Festa field and crossing the Rhine between the train bridge and Verbolten (but not extending to the Festhaus Park).  Although this information I have found is accurate, it still does not specify what the work being done is for, as Zachary has said before.  Technically another potential for this work could be two separate things - a tall flat ride in the pasture, and a new pedestrian bridge crossing the Rhine).

Edit: Also, if this is in fast a coaster, I believe that we are looking at an opening in 2019.  The reason I say this is that InvadR's soil boring was performed sometime in January of 2016 (the utility marking ticket was dated 1/6/16), and it opened in April, 2017.  If we are looking at a large-scale coaster (relating to the 300+ ft height waiver), the design time-frame is likely going to be much longer than it was for InvadR, especially considering the complicated permits needed for crossing the Rhine.  Since the time between the borings and opening the ride for InvadR was about 15 months, we could assume maybe an extra 5 months for design, putting the ride opening at the beginning of the 2019 season.

Looks like we have some new concrete evidence of work presumably relating to this project in the Festhaus Park to support the theory of using Drachen Fire's old station and ride area! Just checked the Virginia 811 site today and found three new tickets relating to utility markings for soil boring and testing (see above quoted post for the original tickets in the Festa pasture and river, as well as the explanation as to what this means).

The three new tickets (screenshots attached) indicate that soil samples are being conducted around the retail building and old station building in the Festhaus Park, the grass area between the station and storage buildings and the perimeter road around the area, and the wooded area between the Festhaus Park and the river. I have marked these on a map (in purple) with the original two areas (blue and red) as a visual aid, though they may not be a perfect representation of the marking areas.

I believe that this evidence, along with the former soil boring locations, suggests that there is a high likelihood that a new attraction will span from the Festhaus Park to the Festa Field areas, crossing the Rhine. This does not completely confirm a possibility of a coaster, but at least we know that new structures that will have soil load impacts will be constructed in the outlined areas - this could still mean separate structures within the areas (bridge, coasters, large flat rides, buildings, etc.) At least we know for sure that something major is coming!

So let’s look at possibilities. If it were to be a starflyer, that means we would most likely get a double area expansion due to the highest point, and the soil tests on the other side of the ride. I don’t think it’ll be a starflyer due to the highest point being extremely close to the bank. A coaster uses this height appropriately. A bridge going across the river would be interesting, because it could very possible interfere with the highest point of project Madrid. I guess only time will tell.

There have been separate tickets filed for the utility work being done (presumably for the DAS project, as there have been several locations around the park).  Those tickets have been filed by a company called Cable Associates Inc. as conduit install as the type of work.  The tickets I have been referring to were filed by Fishburne Drilling Inc. as soil boring and testing.  The two could be different contractors working on the same job so I don't want to totally disagree with you, but soil borings usually only happen when a structure will have a large load on the soils.  Also, as I may have previously mentioned, Fishburne Drilling has submitted 811 tickets before for previous soil samples in areas of coasters, including Tempesto and Verbolten. I definitely agree though that this has the potential for huge implications.
