I find it interesting that the day the weather was so bad they needed to close the park early for the safety of guests and employees that they supposedly had a soft open.

Connor said:Looking at it from the parks perspective this was a phenomenal day to soft open for several reasons. Mainly the weather detracting guests from the park leaving a chunk of people who want to be there who could potentially have visited the park many times and are slightly more knowledgeable about the park. Due to these low numbers it also makes soft opening much more manageable compared to a busy spring break day flooded with tourists. On an VR attraction with the possibility of lengthy lines opening up to this large of a test pool could lead to a mass failure. It would be better for the park to build up to these numbers to prepare for the official opening. Also, with a soft opening the attraction could close af any time so with a lack of guests in the park there’s less of a chance of guests not being able to ride leaving with that negative experience.
