That's a valid point. It does make you wonder how they decide what they keep and what they scrap.

The ride that you see in the graveyard is actually Geauga Lake's Spider ride that was originally supposed to open in 2009 along with Americana and El Dorado (both from Geauga Lake) but due to it being in rough shape they decided to leave it in the graveyard for unknown reasons.
The seats are on and it looks complete. Unless it decides to pull a Mach Tower and has massive issues, what are the odds of it being open on the opening day of the season?

Course, the visible parts appear all bolted together; but, how much non-visible stuff, like wiring, remains to be seen. I guess the operator control booth is in the process of being constructed and wiring being done to the control panel. I don't know if the pendulum swing is powered purely by electric motors, compressed air, or hydraulics. So I am not sure what is in the ground building next to the ride and if anything else needs to be done in the building.
Given that is is a major flat ride, I would think the major parts are pre-wired and just need to be connected as they are assembled together. I don't know much about Mondial ride reliability when it comes to their Pendulum ride. You don't hear much about Canada's Wonderland's version being down at all. You do hear complaints about their HUSS "Sledgehammer" flat ride being down more than it is up. CWMANIA fan site might be a good place to ask or check out their forums.

We have reason to believe it will open with the park, barring any unforeseen circumstances.
The park has a web cam pointed at the Delirium ride site (better late than never :blush
. I assume the camera is on top of drop tower. Given its late installation, I wonder if this camera will be operating during the regular season?
KD had a web cam pointed at the new Hurricane Heights slide tower during construction and during part of the operating season last year (till some Jacka** moved the camera orientation). Other CF parks have cameras you can view during the day (Cedar Point has 3 cameras and Carowinds had 2 cameras one pointed at Fury 325 and the other at the front gate).
The whole area around Delirium is still pretty torn up. From the center walkway all the way round to past the bathrooms. I would think that was due to the Shockwave demolition and land clearing/prep for Delirium. It looks like even the back part of Bad Apple's concrete ride pad needed to used during that time.
Only the central hub and the three main arms of Bad Apple are still in place. Given the amount of dust and dirt around the ride, I can see why KD held off from painting it. All other structural parts for Bad Apple, including the ride cars, have been removed. Wonder if this ride will get a new light package on the structure in addition to paint? EDIT: My observations were based on the still photo on the web cam page. When I click on the live cam button, the cam view is more up to date. The Bad Apple ride site has been cleaned up and the "star shaped" structure for the ride cars have re-installed (no ride cars yet).
There is a good chunk of land between Delirium and the Carousel/Country Kitchen restaurant where a nice potential flat ride could go. Wonder if we will see a flat ride package come to KD in the next 2-3 years?
As far as whatever building is being constructed between the CAG bathrooms and the Peanuts Showplace, I would not expect that structure to be completed until sometime in May.

Delirium Web Cam
The emptiness of the land formerly occupied by Shockwave's helices is curious. It is such a vast open space that it would look outright bizarre during the season with nothing occupying it. Since another ride is out of the question for 2016, I hope KD has plans for something to at least temporarily fill that space. Heck, even a pretty flower bed would look just fine there. But I sure hope we're not left looking at a vacant lot of grass for the duration of the season.
I would enjoy that grass while sitting on a blanket during the BBQ festival with some good food and a beer in my hand.

I heard that the park had to shorten the sign backing on both the north and south sides of the main sign. The new full-color LED screen is larger than the old red-only LED screen. I thought I saw somewhere the new screen is 3.5 feet taller than the old one (same width).
As far as the park name on the sign, I would need to go back to the older photos of it on here to see if the lettering is identical. It could be that the park needed to update the lighting and the original letter font/design was kept.
I found the source for the sign info:
"The sign will have the park’s updated logo and will include a full-color screen and LED lighting.
The old sign’s digital section was 7½ feet tall by 46 feet wide. The sign did not have full color graphical display capabilities.
The new sign does and the display area is bigger — 11 feet by 46 feet.
Work on updating the sign is expected to be completed by early March."
Sign Changes
It's rather similar to the old sign. It still has the same gray striped background, but it's missing the single thick dark gray vertical bar that ran down the center of the background. More notably, the now-retired Cedar Fair logo is no longer above the lettering.
I have a feeling the new lettering will have LED lighting too. It's a good thing the letters have been replaced, as last year a good portion of the letters were visibly cracked from weathering.
I was, however, hoping the park would go with their retro logo, as they have been using it a lot lately. In fact, it looks like the retro logo will be featured in the entrance planter this year (the "40" part of the logo has just been removed):

KD Webcam this morning showing that the "Bad Apple" is now being painted (painters working on the ride arms).
Delirium's queue shade structure is still in the process of being constructed. Ride perimeter safety fencing is going up as well.
Looks like part of the path from the central pathway to the Dinner Bell Restaurant is now brick pavers instead of asphalt.
