RE: Replacement Project For Big Bad Wolf
You saw my Youtube videos of the BBW? Cool... I didn't think anyone watched those. Sweet. I had so much fun with the little Wolf puppet around the park... cutest story ever... this little girl saw the wolf puppet in the Festhaus. I was having a drink toasting to the Wolf with my friend when I started joking around and had the puppet try to drink the wine.. I making the puppet grab for the glass of wine and say stuff like "My final wish is to get plastered before they rip me apart..." etc.. etc..
Anyway, about that time a little girl came up beside me and said "Hi Mr. Wolf"- well that was it... my heart melted. I started talking to her in a puppet voice saying "Hi there, are you having fun today?" When she asked me how the puppet was doing I said.. "I am pretty sad because my favorite ride the Big Bad Wolf is going away." She petted the head of the Wolf Puppet and said "It's Ok Mr Wolf." She really was excited and had that whole "little kid magic of not seeing a puppet but a real living thing going on." The German music was playing and she started dancing with the puppet and then she hugged him when the music stopped. She said "I'll miss you Mr. Wolf" when she left... TEARS I TELL YOU! I really started crying it was so sweet. Her parents were there filming it... I have a copy of that somewhere... eh~ to many photos around on my PC. Anyway... it was priceless... and serves as a good reason that BGW should bring Mascots back to the park...
Moving on..
Well, the good news is that two of the trains from the BBW have already been picked up and sent to prospective coaster museums. One of which, I know is in TX. The real sad thing is - I would probably plan my vacation just around seeing the coaster car in all its Wolf-glory.
Also, one side note.. at least one coaster car must be kept on property for at least seven years due to any legal issues that may arise - some statute of limitations or some such lawyer speak. You know.. someone rides a ride.. a year later they have some ailment caused by the ride (or so they say) the coaster car serves as evidence. Sadly, the Drachen Fire car has reached that point and therefore no longer is housed in the park..BOO!! I wanted to sit in that red car once more BGW - BOO!
However, regarding the BBW~~~oh there is a beautiful coaster train somewhere in the park... Anyone up for a scavenger hunt???
OK- going in that direction... I have begged the park to have a mini-museum on property. An interactive museum of sorts..a trivia game, a film that plays, glass cases full of old merchandise, photos, costumes, and signage. My thought is to resurrect old coaster cars and allow folks to sit in them and take photos. In the museum/shop; one can also find a film DVD about the history of the park; soundtracks, a table book full of photos and stuff; and all kinds of vintage-esque keychains, shirts, and toys. I thought they should do this in England; but By the BBW would be a great location as well.
Yes- I have submitted this idea- numerous times... no answer folks. (I can almost hear the game show sound of Wahhh-Wahhh; when you lose).
