I thought cameras weren't even allowed on Pompeii or flume. Getting them wet would be a problem for water rides unless you've got a GoPro.
All SEAS Parks allow on ride filming if the camera is attached to a three point chest harness or wrist strap and approved by guest services. The only place I have been to told to put away my camera in the park is in the Abbey and Globe but that's for a different reason.

Back to Pompeii, I find it strange how I haven't gone on this attraction since 2013 on an Ultimate Insider Tour. Yet, I've still visited the park like over sixty times since that day. Now that I think about it that was the last time I rode Le Scoot and Roman Rapids as well.

I think as we get older, the idea of walking around soaking wet and with squishy shoes just loses all it's previous appeal. I really wanted to ride White Water Canyon, but remembered when I rode Bluto's Barges in Universal how miserable the rest of the day was as I never dried out. There was one time in the 80's I rode WWC I think 13 times without leaving the ride once. Those were the good ol' days.

I LOVE water rides! *swishes tail*
Uhh, you might think twice about wearing the furry suit on water rides.

Come to think of it, don't even bring it to the park.

Yeah I kinda don't want to see on the news about a furry kicked out of Busch because of their costume policy, despite the fact with exception to HOS it can be excessive at times.

I found this link and this would be an awesome Pompeii replacement: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qheEdSLBP8U

That space where EFP is will be too small to put a whole country into. I'm thinking they'll use the space behind verbolten because they never use that space for anything and if you look behind the building theres a giant field.

Not gonna happen!

There's a reason why the only one of these ever built in the USA was removed a few seasons after opening. It's a maintenance nightmare and was closed more often than it was open.

And can we stop talking about taking down EFP. It's never going to happen

No.

You see, Escape from Pompeii has some problems.
  1. Frequent downtime
  2. High operation costs
  3. Massive land use
  4. Blocking of additional useable land
  5. Very limited operating season
  6. Limited audience throughout the peak season
Add all that together and you get a ride that's ripe for removal. Not saying it'll be leaving within the next 5 or 10 years, but I'd say it's on a shortlist of possibilities.

These are some really good points Zachary, I loved EFP years ago when it was new, i love the nostalgia of it now. But in all reality i think if the park can get something good from its leaving, its time to move on. I mean is it pretty at CT yes. But if we can get something better for the park from it i say its a good thing. I can remember it fondly later lol. Now I Don't have the slightest clue as to what they could do with the area. I leave that to the people who make the big bucks. But i think it would be great overall.

In my opinion, EPP is in worse shape than DK was at closing. And seemingly more expensive to keep going. Yet DK is gone and this still operates. Between loss of quality and the water cannons, we haven't rode this in years. But we certainly rode DK every time we were there.
