Awesome shots of the progress on the Arie dismantling. I have a few takeaways. First of all, none of the track appears to be on site unless it's staged in the parking lot; someone can fill me in on that, but based on how they specifically took that section, maybe they're looking to modify the structure there in some way, possibly adding in that 3rd block section, elevation changes, or smth else I'm not aware of. Additionally, there appears to be a crane staged near the lift, so I'd imagine any day now we'll see it begin to be dismantled. Screenshot 2026-09-26 112452.png

So, uh, I think AF1 reconfigured as a double-out-and-back fits sorta perfectly on the X2 site...

I know it's a bad-sounding fit because SFMM already has an I-Box, but if Six Flags feels the need to rush something major in ASAP to stop the bleeding... Maybe?
I’m trying to find the post but a few weeks ago when I was trying to narrow down the landing spots I had this same idea.

Ok, doing some critical thinking in real time here so sorry if this post ends up long or wandering:

Let's eliminate the parks that are leased land or at risk with CGA and SFDK. And take out the ones operated by Enchanted as well with WoF, SFStL MAA, TGE, VF, Mich Adv.

I think any form of lease back takes out La Ronde and SFMexico. I'll also toss in Qiddiya City in this even though it's basically a name leasing.

Next I want to take out the ones with an RMC already with SFoT, SFNE, SFGAmer, SFFT, KD, CP.

Next, I want to take out KBF because of space limitations.

Next I want to eliminate the "is the juice worth the squeeze" ones (aka is the value there to the park) in Dorney Park (height restrictions), Frontier City (OKC market), SFDL (although I really like this destination), and I'm adding Canada's Wonderland (potential tariff issues).

So that leaves the 3 I can make a good case for but also why not:
Kings Island - KI could really use a RMC, and is sort of a flagship for the new SF. Would be a great move for them to add for a lowered cost a great coaster to round out their collection. But the downside is with CP close enough and SV close enough, would they want both of those world class RMC's that geographically close together.

Carowinds - Like KI it could really use an RMC, it's also a flagship for the new SF, but in addition it has the already prepped spaces it could go into. The case for why not - Carowinds is a flagship park, so wouldn't you want to build them something new ground up for a RMC that would be really unique and custom to the park for the first coaster since Copperhead.

Six Flags Over Georgia - It's literally right there and it could really use an RMC. For a park in the decline, having a world class coaster there would really make a difference. The downside here is that the attendance has been declining, Atlanta isn't a major park to get to, and there would need to be some work.

That leaves me the dark horse park that hasn't been mentioned:

SIX FLAGS MAGIC MOUNTAIN

Needs a new coaster/goodwill ✅
Has an RMC ❌
Has the space ✅
Could use new signature ride ✅
Needs investment without high expense ✅

While it does fail the RMC already test, there's a lot of upsides to putting AF1 here. They could use a working from day 1 signature ride that's world class that won't break the bank. Especially if SFCorp decides that X2 is more problematic than it's worth. They have a lot of places it could go with minimal ride modification. And putting the #7 coaster in this park could really give it the anchor it needs to establish (deeper and more recognizably) the West Coast coaster capital that they lack.

My contribution to this conversation is that AF1 going to SFMM to replace X2 would be the single most sacrilegious move in coaster history and would please absolutely nobody

La Ronde was sold as well and is owned by EPR now just like the Enchanted Parks so it wouldn't go there. As for Six Flags Qiddiya, Six Flags operates the park and the waterpark just like they do Frontier City and Darien Lake. Qiddiya Investment Company owns them but Six Flags is fully in charge of operations (they do not lease the park, however, which they presently do for Frontier City & Darien Lake). They're PAID to operate Qiddiya. With that said, seeing as they don't physically own anything there, yes...it's a bad fit!

For leasing purposes, even though you already wrote them off, Frontier City and Darien Lake are no gos. I think Six Flags will dump the management contracts there eventually anyway. EPR will grant them the release and sign a new one with Enchanted.

Canada's Wonderland also goes beyond the tariff issue and is also a no-go. The issue there is, assuming Rocky Mountain Construction will be constructing it again, it would be hard to get them up there to build it. Canada is very strict with their job requirements in that RMC would have to prove to them why a Canadian company couldn't build it instead. I'm sure RMC would have a compelling argument but it would also take a lot of time.

Your thoughts of Kings Island and Carowinds are spot on. I would love Over Georgia if for the fact it keeps the world class coaster in the same market and also cuts down on transport costs for the chain. However, this this grandoise announcement, I truly believe that it isn't staying in Georgia.

You were light years ahead on Magic Mountain. Now that X2 is officially going bye-bye, and as been mentioned in previous posts, it is now being looked at as a front runner in community circles. Of course, its all just fun and speculation, but you prove an extremely valid point! At the same time, I agree that putting it there when other parks could really utilize it doesn't make the most sense. But their purchase of it does coincide with about the time X2 shutdown and they could've had a kneejerk reaction to go "this could replace that and we can begin to put this problem in the past".

Six Flags is in a rough spot and I do believe more park sales are eventually on the horizon. Therefore, it would have to go to a park that is considered one of the majors or at least extremely safe.

I would rank probabilities as such:
1. Kings Island
2. Carowinds
3. Six Flags Great Adventure
4. Six Flags Magic Mountain (again, doesn't make the most sense but could be a tourniquet for X2)
5. Knott's Berry Farm (extreme dark horse)

I just cannot imagine it going anywhere else. But I also wouldn't be surprised if they made a move that maybe didn't make sense to us.

Magic Mountain makes zero sense for AF1 as they already have Twisted Colossus. It would be like putting Tormenta at Cedar Point when they already have Valravn. The public would see it as "Another Twisted Colossus but with one track instead of 2". I have a feeling the X2 site will sit vacant awhile.

We're talking about the park with two mobius loop coasters and two SkyRockets.

Yeah, it's duplicative, but is Six Flags gonna care? SFMM is in a SFGAdv-style crisis, it's one of their most important properties/markets, and they are currently holding the #7 best coaster in the world in their back pocket.

I'm not saying it would be a good idea, but I wouldn't be the least but surprised if Six Flags played AF1 to X2.

IK I joke abt this with new england but realistically wouldnt the duplicates have been under previous management? This is, again, sort of a crisis event for the park so its not quite the same situation, but I also wouldn't be surprised if current management (at least under normal circumstances) would like "hey maybe we don't send the park a similar model again (which also might be a lukewarm move pr wise: park goers aren't stupid, they realize the park is in a crisis and when some inevitably look at the similarities of afo and twicol they may start making guesses. Something like "They know this kind of ride worked once at the park so they did the same thing to negate any real risk" with a side of "This is a panic buy" (which to be fair the latter would pretty much be right on.) Whether this perception creates any real effect in the long run, or whether SFEC even cares considering just about anything would be an improvement to their current suituation, idk, but something to bounce around).

Then again, one of the things current SFEC actually 100% did on their own and is not a holdover from previous purchases was move a spinning wild mouse to a park with a wild mouse, so what do I know lmfao. Clearly I'm not on the same plane as they are /j

I think it'd be a profoundly bad idea even in light of the other overlapping concepts. WCR isn't my favorite but it's decently different enough from Full Throttle to merit existing imo (tbh I didn't put together that they were both sky rockets until u said it, I always lump full throttle in with maxx force and think they're both S&S) and definitely significantly less intense. There's a lot less of gap between Arie Force One and Twisted Colossus as experiences, and if they don't repaint it (which I assume they wouldn't if they're keeping the name like they said) they're very visually similar big white lattice structures with tracks that are half blue. I just don't know what kind of person would a.) not be coming to the park while X2 was operating WITH Twisted Colossus and b.) be convinced to come to the park now that X2 is gone and something that looks very similar to Twisted Colossus is in its place
