Not a great analogy. They aren't just sitting for three and a half months, they are being fully overhauled. When I spent a couple months fully rebuilding my T-Birds engine, she cranked over on the very first try, thank you very much.
Yeah, I was tired when I made that analogy lol. I was meaning about the rides control system and sensors. Obviously maintenance is taking place, but it’s definitely a big jump from operating hundreds of times a day, to operating very very little for 3 and a half months, to operating hundreds of times a day again.

Im not sure if this has been addressed, but what is the "actual" drop height for the top hat? Is there any info out there for the top to the base of the drop?

The internet says 180 feet, and a rough measurement on Google Earth approximately agrees.

Edit: The 180 number may actually be referencing the height of the spike, but it just so happens that the distance from the tip of the spike to the ground and the distance from the top of the top hat to the bottom of the drop are both 180±5 according to my rough measurements.

The drop on the top hat is about 180’, but the structure itself is about 130’ above grade. The reason for the difference is because the terrain difference. The spike is 178’ tall

I’m at the park today. I thankfully did not bolt to Pantheon at arrival and went back and knocked out two rides on DarKoaster, Alpengeist, InvadR, and Griffon each in the first hour. I have not seen Pantheon cycling at all today. Wolf 2 looks very shiny from the top of Griffon. Not sure if I’ll take the train to see it up close or not now it looks like the only reason to go to Festa is……Tempesto. Not terrible but not what I want to go there for.

Is it windy today? Id take the closed sign with a grain of salt sometimes. One day finnegans was closed on the sign but it wasnt

No idea, that is why I checked the weather and deleted my post. I have no idea what the weather is on the ground, but with both Skyride and Pantheon closed it is possible they are seeing something that the Weather Channel isn’t.

The way they’ve treated this ride is insane to me. Barely has a maintenance shed and they’ve had to add to it overtime. The way this chain treats its headliners is concerning.

Keep in mind. It’s the 50th anniversary. This year they should be pulling out all the stops to look great.

I was able to see the other (#1) train in the maintenance bay, it was missing seats and restraints. Hopefully it's back on by this coming weekend, since next week is the start of local spring break.

Gea the decorative yellow parts on the other train is on it so shouldnt be long. Alpengeists however...

I thought Alpengeist had a 3rd train for parts, couldn’t they just assemble it and slap it on the track? Also I’m sure it’s more complex than that just my opinion. And I agree, i don’t like how Pantheon has been treated, Toutatis has a nice building for the trains to be worked on, Pantheon has a hand me down shed. No theming has even been added since the ride opened either.

Pantheon’s maintenance train(car)port has had to be modified like 3 times on top of all this. And they still have to use temporary tents to fully enclose the train.
