My faith has been for the most part restored. See, once the area comes together it all flows well. The past two weeks, the area has been no where near complete. Two things though - Has der Bier Garten been completed and is there any vertical construction on Mach Tower yet?

The whole area looks much nicer. The pretzel shop is indeed open and fully functioning with fresh, hand-made pretzels and pretzel related foods :D The "beer garden" appears to be just the picnic tables installed behind the pretzel shop. It looks nicer and much more complete now.

The pretzels are really good.

Soon to be made:

The pretzels look really good. Oh and looking over the pictures, I can't believe how large and spacious the bakery is. I thought this was a little snack shack. Aside from that, a little dissappointed with the Bier Garten, but you can't get everything you want. Still the area is starting to grow on me.

Thank God they didn't mess up the German on the front. (It means "Eat, drink, and be merry,")

Heading to the park tomorrow. Am really excited to see everything new. Slight concerns about the new Festhaus stage. Hope it doesn't change the show too much... Doesn't look like they will be in the audience anymore with the removal of the front and back stairs. Wandering if the audience participation is still there. (ex: Chicken Dance with the Kids and dancers, and the Polka with the adults and dancers)

Can someone post a picture of the "beer garden" area?

Has the new show started in front of the Festhaus where the circular garden is/was? Has anyone seen it?

Also, does the stage still rise in the Festhaus, or is the performance happening around the orchestra now?

Yep, still a ton of guest interaction. I actually really like the new stage- panelling and all.

The new theming looks a little better and the Pretzel shop looks nice, my only complaint is the paint choice on Der AutoBahn's structure (it's hideous).

Has any painting/modifications been done to the Wolf's buildings?

I actually kinda like the new Oktoberfest. I do hope they bring back the welcome poles or may poles or whatever those things were called I loved them. There were two of them near identical and the relocated them twice. They would have looked great near Mach Tower.
Please BG,
Busch Gardens has a long history of great signage, it's a shame to see it go away when it doesn't have to.

Agreed, they should be able to relocate them somewhere in the area. Perhaps in an even more prominent area than they were previously.

It's like free theming! just relocate them again.

There were four maypole structures with faux greenery rings around the top and the new Oktoberfest logo sitting in the employee parking lot today.

I saw those yesterday. For everybody who can't see them they look exactly like the banner around the top of the Festhaus stage but on a much smaller scale.
