What about something like Booster Bike in Toverland?

^^^ As a motorcycle rider, I say HELL YEAH to that idea, but I just can't see BGW pulling the trigger on something like that. Not exactly ADA compliant here in the US....

Motorbike coasters can't do anything Verbolten already does. If we get another launch coaster, it needs to be radically different than Verbolten.

Then it's back to the OP's original rumor....That the only thing missing in BGW's repertoire is a woodie coaster. And the only question about it is....What kind & what method of locomotion?

Feeling like this thread is going around in circles, to be honest....

Honestly I see this thread fitting in with Concepts more than Rumors. Rumors are things we hear from sources in the park about 'actual' things going on. Concepts are guesses and desire of what we want to happen in our own little world. This thread just confuses me so I try to read and move on :p

Honestly, it's a little hard to classify. We'd like to keep the Concepts board centered around fully fleshed out concepts instead of making random guesses about future additions. In the past these types of threads have always dwelled in Rumors so, for the time being at least, I think this is the best place for it. It is probably something we should look into working out better though.

Semantics, semantics.....I think it's fine where it's at. Rumors are usually supposed to be what is "rumored" to be happening at the park, and in the absence of any evidence, then the rumor remains as such. Concepts are pretty much open game to any idea, crazy or not, unless of course I come up with one, to which then my feet are exposed to the fire by Party Rocker for lack of in-depth details. :p hehehehehe

My feeling has always been, if you come up with a concept, then let's discuss said concept!! If I already had all the details fleshed out, there wouldn't be a need to discuss anything, but hey, that's just me. No disrespect intended toward PRock at all. I always like what he has to say. I take criticism in stride, so long as it never gets "personal". :)

I honestly doubt a woodie. There are many other coaster types out there that the park doesn't have.

^^^^ LOL....Best photoshop job I've seen in a while! HUMAN POWERED COASTER!! The Flinstones would be proud!

Yeah, but there's no loops on that thing! If I'm gonna pedal my butt off like a hamster in a wheel, I want to coast down a big hill & go into a loop!! Plus from the looks of that video, there's no way to evacuate anybody on the ride unless they bring another car behind them & THEY push the car in front of them back to the station. Nah....This is not gonna work in this park.

I was thinking about this last night and I came up with two ideas. For people that want the wooden coaster, they could expand New France put it there (since the wood would go along with the theme).

My second idea is they could make a roller coaster that has two different paths it could follow. It would go up the lift, down the hill, through whatever they want. Once it goes into the brake in the middle of the ride, have the train stop, the track moves to one of the two paths, and it would go down that path, go through things there, and re-merge at the end. :)

Disney has a pretty good lockdown on track switching patent for any form of coasters. Very good patent on it.
