Do we have any sort of confirmation this 2024/25 Project is an RMC? I’d love for it to be and it makes a lot of sense, but is there anything confirming so?

Then again, maybe RMC wanted another shot at a launched woody...

I just wonder if there's going to be any large-scale power grid upgrades to support this and any other future attraction in the area considering VB's launches apparently have the ability to black out parts of the park if not timed correctly.

Only if both launches are launching trains simultaneously. As long as only one train is launching it shouldn’t be an issue, as the ride should be programmed to ensure that the ride does not launch both trains simultaneously. (Learned from coaster insider tour)

I know Giga and RMC are the most obvious but I’m honestly not sure which way I want to see them go right now. They put either one in there they could end up being a little landlocked. But with an RMC they could build a Rhine crossing giga in the future if they wanted. On the flip side where would it start and turn back? But if you do a giga now there’s not many places you can go with an RMC without possibly taking something out. So what would you sacrifice to make an RMC work because IMO they work best as a twister style as the out and back RMC’s leave a lot to be desired.

I don’t bring up Macks/Spinners/other loopers because I personally believe that there’s lots of spots you can put one due to the narrow nature of their footers.

Of course a really cool alternative to a giga back there would be to use BfE building and show rooms as a loading area and queue for a giga, and turn out to diagonally cut from England parking out the back of that building, over the kennel, drop and turn along Busch Gardens Blvd, turn around, come back on that path, and turn back into the station.

I think Kingsmill would have quite a few choice words to say about that.

While they have made great efforts in running the launches to prevent electrical blackouts occurring, I can't see how any new major attractions added to the existing grid wouldn't be impacted - IIRC the DK building is on a separate grid, but it's likely FHP is sharing the same grid as VB and perhaps Festa.

How? That goes away from them up in front of the parking lots?
Oh, I don’t know… maybe a 300 foot structure that you would be able to see from pretty much anywhere along that area? Not to mention the usual noise complaints. Also it’s proximity to the road would mean loose articles would be a large issue.

They’ve done that battle a few times and this is further away from Kingsmill than a waiver they’ve twice (?) now had approved.

Like I said in my OP, unless the Giga goes up in FHP or crosses the Rhine, that’s one of the last viable spots for a full circuit Giga at BGW.

Assuming that's a legitimate plan and county would be able to approve (which in itself has a lot required for it to happen), I'd wonder if there's any FAA or RPA restrictions?

I can see both being potentially problematic if the structure needs to be 300'+ above grade or else requires it to drop into an RPA area to achieve the desired height.

Neither are insurmountable issues, but would definitely add to the cost and lead time of we were to ever see a full circuit giga.

Wasn't MT 300+ feet over grade? Also based on elevation and above grade the previous DS measurement was well above the spot I'm thinking of. As far as RPA, based on B&M's recent lift structures you could potentially do supports that avoid any RPA issues.

BGW managed to get a giga approved by the county in the area of the park where it should honestly be the most difficult to do so. I think if they wanted to, they could put one most anywhere they have room.

I'm of the opinion that we're unlikely to ever have two 300+ foot tall coasters in Williamsburg. I didn't despise the Drachen Spire plan, but I would much prefer the single giga we're likely to ever see be something far more substantial. If SEAS doesn't want to build something that scale right now, I'd much rather see them go a different route (like RMC).
