RE: New (Bowling) Shirts for Everyone

Yes, but no one is supposed to wear them until April 27... I have multiple sources that can confirm this

RE: New (Bowling) Shirts for Everyone

Oh sorry I guess it still should be considered a rumor since they technically aren't here yet. My bad. :)
I also wanted to point out how interesting it is to see how much discussion and debate a piece of clothing can make. 5 pages and a whole new thread have just been made over some shirts. A bit much? I don't know. Personally, I can't remember any uniforms except for Festa's so to me, it doesn't seem like the impact will be that great. Just what I think.

RE: New (Bowling) Shirts for Everyone

Of course. First to last post. I didn't say the discussion was bad. It's interesting that so much could come out of so little. At times it can seem a bit overwhelming for a shirt. But most of the time it is, as I said before, interesting.

I think that's the issue for a lot of people. Festa's are indeed hideous, but I give that a little bit of a pass because the area is supposed to be all carnivally. But yeah, the other's just kind of "blended in," which was good.

Everytime I see any employee in one of the bowling shirts, it's a head-turner (and not in the "wow, look at that hot chick in the bikini top" kinda head-turner, more like "wow, look at that fat chick in the bikini top" kind). Frankly, it's distracting. There are some who would point to this change as a sign of the park trending toward a more generic "amusement park" look.

Who knows, maybe the had been getting a lot of feelback about people not being able to find an employee when they had questions, or requesting there to be more customer service around the park and this is their way of trying to make the employees more "visible?" If so, mission accomplished. :p

Well i will say at least they aren't these uniforms:

I'll say it was jarring when I went to SixFlags and alllll the employees where wearing these ridiculous neon yellow shirts that have a reminder not to litter on the back.

It's called cross training... I would be bored if I was stuck at the same ride ALL YEAR!!!

Nothing to do with rides. It's people in the shops in San Marco. They never work in Festa.

RE: New (Bowling) Shirts for Everyone

I understand cross training...that's fine. But let me tell you right now...you would never catch a Space Mountain ride operator wearing his Space Mountain uniform while he trained to operate Pirates of the Caribbean. Attention to detail.

I think that if they don't want to go with country-specific period costumes for the CMs, they should go with some sort of a tour guide style thing....like the CMs are facilitating your day trip through Europe. That way, they could all dress *relatively* the same, but stick to the theme.

RE: New (Bowling) Shirts for Everyone

I know Haberdasher mentioned the skyride uniforms in another thread. Why don't they just wear those all over the park? They're perfect. Maybe with a country themed vest for the non-ride op employees?

You usually don't get stuck on one ride unless it's a major ride. Otherwise you work on multiple smaller rides.

EDIT: I actually like the Italy/Coke uniforms over the old Festa ones. Especially when they faded over time.

Do they say "Drink Coke" on the back?

Well, he decided to wear it the other day and people initial reaction was 'bowling shirt' and 'Coke shirt'. Personally, I think it will add a new brightness to Festa, with all the droll colors already.

RE: New (Bowling) Shirts for Everyone

Yeah, but Festa really does need like a fresh new coat of paint or a brighter color scheme. It could match Oktoberfest's new color scheme!
