That may be exactly right. An 8-hp 4-stroke would make a lot of sense in that application, come to think of it.  Quieter, cleaner, easier to fuel (don't have to mix gas+oil as part of the process), and probably more fuel efficient than a 2-stroke.

Also heavier and more mechanically complex than a 2-stroke, to be fair. But weight probably was not a huge issue and maintenance might not have been too bad at all with a good staff on hand. They quite possibly had 49 of the exact same engine.

I don't think I have ever been told off for taking photos of a construction area, though I know some have. That said, the park wasn't always so paranoid about the possibility that someone might take an unflattering photo. As long as you are not trespassing or taking a photo of something that isn't easily visible (over or through a fence, for instance) they don't usually care. Somebody else can probably confirm, but it's usually due to over-zealous team members that plain view construction photos are ever prohibited.

On the topic of Le Mans: Does anyone have photos from inside the station? That was a pretty cool part of the ride.

There's nothing they can really do when the Skyride is open and the gondolas are going right over the construction area.

I don't know... Given the aggressiveness of these employees, I wouldn't be surprised to see them take a gondola off the middle of the Sky Ride to tell someone "No photos!" ?

So, at the risk of making Zachary loose his mind, was there a particular reason Griffon was placed on this site instead of a new site? Gods know Griffon was a, "no expense spared," ride.

@Zimmy: Griffon was originally planned to replace Le Scoot but, during development, the plans were shifted from New France to France. This was almost certainly due in part to skyrocketing gas prices and the relative popularity of Le Scoot vs Le Mans.

I’m theory, Blue Ridge Tollway can have 204 cycles in an hour with a capacity of 832. That’s if every car is loaded with 4 people and all cars are on the track, which never happens.

Well, Shenedoah Lumber Company can hit 332 cycles per hour with a hourly capacity of 1328 people. Again that’s assuming all every boat is in use, holding 4 guests, and both sides of the station in use. Unfortunately I do not have numbers for BGW.

What impact could cost of the land clearing, movement, and grading have had on that decision? I feel like having to take out LeScoot, moving the land, and the grading could have been much more expensive than LeMans which was a flatter parcel to start with because of the ride that was on it.

Except for the fact that BBW was also replaced it almost seems odd that they felt it necessary to replace instead of add new especially considering Madrid. However having said that, I suppose much of the land that Madrid is using then more fully occupied.
