@RKRCC, if you could get a photo of it open and the menu that I could share (with credit of course) I'd be eternally thankful!
Is the menu very limited??? I swear I remember more items. No matter, nice to see something.

Leave it to BGW to reopen a ice cream stand in the most SEAS way possible with only 2 flavors + 1 rotational.
Let's hope it's only the opening salvo in a full scale menu...
I’m curious and know it’s not the thread but has anyone been to the gelato place recently in Italy? I remember that it opened not too long ago with what appeared to be a limited menu compared to what it use to have. Wondering if they have added more choices recently?
They seem to rotate flavors, as opposed to having all available now.
Last time I went they had 5 flavors (vanilla, chocolate, cake batter, coffee, salted caramel), Time before that they had 3 (vanilla, chocolate, salted caramel).
The 5% surcharge on top of much higher price points. Brownie Sundae went from $7.49 to $9.99 AND add a 5% surcharge on that!
That's basically the same menu as Roman Frieze. Josephine's had some great options before.
The chocolate and vanilla only makes me assume they've gone to soft-serve only, and no dipped ice-cream, which is probably much cheaper and faster.

Signage says hand scooped. whether thats 100% or accurate or not who knows yet.

You know, all things considered it still tastes great! I will miss the more ridiculous sundaes, but lord how I missed ice cream in the park.

Somewhat random, wasn't the store behind/attached to les fries an ice cream shop at some point? Are they doing anything with that outside of french quarter for food and wine?
