They aren't telling workers much either. A friend's daughter was just hired for "house 7". So, I guess we can assume there are at least seven haunts this year, but not a single detail beyond that.
I would be careful announcing that sort of thing. Like even if they said "you're gonna be in Lumberhack/Circo/dystopia/etc," that's not really something I would come out and say that I know somebody who works in a specific house.

But 7 houses is the same as last year. And if Cornered is being taken down (from my understanding and remembering of previous posts) I think that means we'll get one new house. Which... I guess is fine, but I really wish it wasn't Cornered that went, when you got plaIN, BLACK CURTAINS THE HOUSE. -banging pots and pans together- BGW GET RID OF FROSTBITE.

I would hope for 2 new houses. But I could see them not wanting to do a ton since last year was supposed to be a big year. Even though this year is the 21st anniversary, and I'm just saying BGW, that like vampires and drinking go hand in hand.

EDIT:
Also thinking about it house 7 could just mean 'location 7' like they have 7 possible locations to use for a house. Not necessarily 7 houses. (But I think it'll be 7 houses.)

I don’t think that Tampa bay and Williamsburg work together for HOS but I would think we’re really close to an announcement since Tampa just announced a couple teasers today

They do more than you might think. They share concepts with each other and sometimes you will see them borrow elements from each other. Sometimes one park has an idea that they think doesn't really fit with their plans and they give it to the other park.

BGW straight up took a house from BGT. Not took the idea, literally took the maze from tampa and put it in WBurg

That also happens. It still goes with my larger point that they do work together on the events that they share.

Years back, didn't BGW and BGT work together on the Unearthed marketing??? I seem to recall both had the same back story, theming, main character (Scarlett), props in the maze, and even supporting characters.

DD was pretty good imo, but it’s all subjective. Unearthed was still going as recently as last year, and down here they gave you a super dim flashlight to use in the maze. With rmc gwazi going in it’s pretty clear that it won’t open again this year, as it was housed in the station.

Dang, BGW is already doing their Halloween hiring? Not sure if this is normal or not for BGW, but KD doesn’t usually start their hiring process until mid-to-late July.

As already noted, it seems that both parks have worked closely together before. This doesn’t surprise me because Cedar Fair does this all of the time with their Haunt attractions. Some of KD’s mazes (ex. Blood on the Bayou, Blackout, and Trick or Treat) have been taken from other parks, and some of KD’s original ideas have been implemented into other parks (ex. Zombie High and Necropolis). I wouldn’t be surprised if one or more of KD’s 2019 attractions are from another park (and there’s even speculation that they’re hinting at it, as you can read in the Haunt 2019 thread.) one might even argue that Cedar Fair is trying to create a Haunt universe with how much they interchange with each other.

I believe it was the weekend before Father's day, I saw a more than average amount of people wearing house shirts (the type you get from working a house). In a large group by the RPT. Some were going back and forth between crepes & coffee and inside the theater.

I imagine they were back to audition to get rehired for this season's hos. But I'm just guessing.
