Most of the songs are from movies or tv shows, specifically ones that pertain to the terror-tory they are in. At least that's how it used to be. Most of the songs near the Festhaus were from the many Vampire shows on the WB etc. Ripper Row uses the From Hell soundtrack and so on.
I think they changed up some of the more modern songs in the last few years. Maybe you could email BG if you had an idea for a good song. Or post it here and maybe someone in charge will see it.

Theirs a post in the Light Balance thread regarding a haunted illuminated set for HOS similar to what Light Balance had in their show. You could have illuminated facades of buildings/houses, haunted trees, graveyard, etc along one of the pathways. It would be a neat and welcomed change to HOS imo.
Well that would certainly be far more interesting than KD's Blackout. I'd be on board for a house like that. I just don't know how feasible it'd be for the park.
In the incoherent mess of Frostbite, there was this cool TRON room with neon blue grids. Always thought that would be a cool theme. Something digital-like?

I have a feeling we aren't getting much of anything for HOS this year. Considering were only 2 months and some change out and not a single update, I am predicting one single new house in the DF queue and a new escape room. Prove me wrong BG. I dare you. No I beg you.
Last year was their "big refresh" that happens every few years. I wouldn't expect much new, unfortunately.
I think a new DF house and an escape room is wishful thinking. I anticipate either one house change where Cornered was, or one or two experience changes like a bar or escape room. If a house change happens, good luck getting anything more.
I forgot they have been working on the Cornered location. Has anyone seen it lately? My initial thought based on the work was that it was just being removed completely.
On a side note, I was thinking about Frostbite yesterday and just how awful it was last year. 2017s Frostbite was not spectacular but it was amazing compared to last years version. I hope we get an better FB or nothing at all if not. I remember seeing a 1.5 hour line last year and I felt like I should tell everyone to leave and find a better place to waste their time. I walked into FB and was disappointed. I might have never gone to HOS again if I had waited for over an hour to get into that.

I really want frostbite to stay versus no house at all. At least then it'll eat up a lot of people, making other lines shorter.
They aren't telling workers much either. A friend's daughter was just hired for "house 7". So, I guess we can assume there are at least seven haunts this year, but not a single detail beyond that.
