Right, because the belligerent ones make the experience so much better. HOS drunks, I know I love 'em.
Well you just had to go and say something reasonable. All joking aside, I'm holding out for good news soon, but m y hopes are dwindling. I feel as if we've at least heard SOME whisper of things to come at this point in previous years. it's also hard to think about autumn in this 100 degree heat.

Agreed completely. Even at it's worst rehash of the previous year, we had some sort of info by this point. We are now less than 2 months out and it's as if HOS 2019 doesn't even exist.

I think the issue is that right now the park is focused on MMXX and other events. Right now they are in the middle of summer nights. After summer nights they still have Bier Fest before HOS. I'm confident news is coming and just because it's later than normal doesn't mean it's bad news. Just that the park is more focused on marketing other events right now.

Pretty shocking we're hearing nothing... BGW relies on this event for a lot of revenue.
That's what I'm saying. This is one of the few times of year that they even have potential for hitting park cap. You'd think they'd hype it as much as possible.

I also think there could be more seasonal capitalization in New France. Flannel. Chainsaw sculpture performances. Hard cider tastings. Everything maple. During the day, Harvest Festival the heck out of it. Williamsburg is beautiful that time of year.

What if they got rid of the Halloween elements and just made it a Christmas town kind of thing except instead of Santa you get... Not sure what the hell kind of mascot a fall fest would get besides drunk college football fans? /s

So, if there are at least 7 houses, and Cornered is for sure gone, and Vault SHOULD be gone, (not like like anyone is actualy convinced of that), then we should get at least one, if not two new houses? Definitely feels odd we haven't seen any teasers.

i was at the park this sunday, and from what i could see (which was very little) im assuming vault is still fully standing within the df station, as the morgue drawers were still in view. also, the sign was still up, just covered by a plastic sheet.

on another note, i'll be sad to see cornered gone if that is what ends up happening. it was one of the first houses i experienced when i started to regularly visit HOS, and back in its opening year i thought it was phenomenal. the tv's broadcasting news on missing people, the memorial set up for said missing people, and the posters to correspond with them...they all did a great job at making you feel more invested in the story and really made the fear of the farm real. this may not mean much, but considering what has happened recently with KD removing some of the haunt mazes from its website, it may be worth noting that you can still visit the webpage for cornered.

So, I have been doing some digging and noticed that the park traditionally didn't update the HOS section of the site until much later only a few years ago.

2013, 2014, and 2015 the site was not updated until mid August. One could argue that those were the most ambitious HOS in recent years, especially '13 and '15. Not saying they were all great but the park made big changes or took some risks. 2017 Didn't see much in the way of updates until mid August too but we all know how that went.

That said, there were teasers starting early, most notably in '15 with the Unearthed campaign. I agree with previous posters that the park is likely holding off HOS announcements until the reveal of MMXX's theme/name. Hopefully we will see a flood of new HOS info after that. Fingers crossed.

Still curious about Cornered, since it is reportedly gone. I wonder if it will get the same sendoff Bitten got, even though it was only around for 5 years.
