@Phant0m, you're in the clear here. That's why I put a notice on your post earlier today. It's fair game since it's a widely accessible statement from someone who has made a point to highlight her status as a park employee publicly. If she is violating the terms of her employment (which it sure seems like she is), that's between her and BGW.

They definitely coexisted. Think of the digital media policy as an addendum to that policy. It goes into more detail.
True, but as I recall, most of the language actually pertained to employees that had access to the Corporate inter/intra nets. I think the rest was just to put the no-nos in simple terms (i.e. naming specific apps... Facebook, Twitter, etc.)

But we digress from the title of this thread.

Personally I think it would be a loss for BGW as her posts are a great free advertisement for the park and the events as well. I understand the policy but I don't know why they wouldn't want this type of promotion.

Most of her posts would be fine as they are of performers in guest areas or just giving information that has already been announced by the park. Where she would get into trouble is by sharing insider information, by talking about things that aren't guest knowledge or by sharing pictures that are in an employee only area.

Edit: While the park wants free publicity they also want to control the flow of information. They don't have issues with employees using already announced information to hype an event. They just don't want employees sharing information that isn't public knowledge.

The way I feel about it is if they post it on any social media site and they dont have a private or locked account sharing anything they post is fair game. If I see someone post something pubically I shouldnt be the one worried they they may be violating the rules of their employment. Would I want to get someone in trouble...never, but they shouldnt put anything out there that shouldnt be for anyone to see.

So this may be the first bit of actual Howl-O-Scream news for the season!

Cornered seems to be up for either a massive overhaul or a full replacement. The main structures of the house (which have been left standing through many-a-off-season now) have been nearly entirely disassembled.

Huge thanks to the little birdy who tipped me off to this!

I'm predicting a HOS '19 announcement in the next couple of days based on the fact that the page on BGWs site is currently giving an error. That said I was wrong once...

Considering I was looking at the HoS site this morning without an error, I'd say you are right. Looks like they just pulled it down for maintenance.

why would they kill Hos if it is the most busy time of the year

I don't think they would remove it, just a hypothetical post. That said, I'm not sure if it is in fact their busiest time of year. Does anyone have data on that?

If it was ever to be removed, it would be because they'd replace it with something else. Otherwise, maybe they'll go through a major reVAMP in certain sections, add to the HOS BLOODline if they have the GUTS for it.

... I'll see myself out

The answer to that is yes and no. They hit capacity more offent during Howl-O-Scream but there is less coming and going do to the short windows that the park is open so there are actually busier days during other times of the year. But both Howl-O-Scream and Christmastown have a higher average guest count per a day of operations then the regular season.

I going with the theory that we might see something in the BFE building again this year. Vault was suppose to be a one and done thing for the 20th year. So unless they try to re use it and say it's for the 20th anniversary I can't see it staying and with possible construction starting in 2020 at the DF site I can't see them putting money into redoing it so that leaves them either building a new house or going down one. Given BFE's less then stellar draw that seems like a possible choice.

If there's concern about FP lands being unavailable this fall then what about LumberHacked? That would make 2 houses down.

I was hoping to see vault and cornered go this year and new houses would be nice

I see no reason why FHP can't be used for HOS this year. I'm personally expecting Lumberhack and Vault XX XXI to return for one more season before they're both forced to close in order to make way for 2021 construction.

Of the house locations utilized last year, I believe the one most at risk for being vacant this year is Das Festhaus' parking lot. The location has long been a logistical struggle for the park and we know Cornered is almost certainly dead. It doesn't seem unlikely that Cornered's replacement could end up in Battle for Eire (more likely) or the Royal Palace Theater (less likely).

They didn't use the old Catacombs section last year. That would be a good place. Also, wasn't there some talk a while back that they were going to build another freestanding building for HOS and special event use? I thought I remembered it being some insider info, maybe it was just bullshit.
