I think this ride was closed around 6 PM on Friday (the 12th), as I could see it on the Skyride and no one was in line, no trains moving, nothing.

It did close for a couple hours around 6:00. I asked the area supervisor why it was closed and got the double talk. It was running again when I cruised by around 8:30.

I want to throw out there that everyone should try to ride Griffon at night during HOS. In my opinion it is best view of "Paris Burning" in the park. Better than the Skyride. When you get to the first drop, look at Aquitaine. It looks really cool.

Also, I haven't seen any wasps this year! Maybe they have figured out how to keep them from swarming up there. On the Roller Coaster Tour, they told us that something in the machinery attracts them, and last HOS they made the turn-around at the top of Griffon the scariest place in the park.

And this one peaked my interest. You can see the station of LeMans Raceway, but in front of the building that is now the gift shop there are yellow canopy tables.

I just find this very cool. Anyone have insight/memory of what the deal with this "plaza" was before Griffon was built?
