Well I don't blame them for ranking it so highly as it is one of my favorite coaster. Griffon delivers a sensation of flight that very few coasters can come close to. For example, third row, far left. Being perched 205 feet in the air, almost hanging over the drop to then hear a clank and fly upwards to your restraints as the train plummets down the drop and experience zero g for what feels like forever. This sensation of flying and falling is incredible in my opinion. While it may be short, for what this pony does, it definitely does it well. But Apollo's Chariot is still the better overall coaster in the park no contest. :p

Before anyone asks; yes that fan is/was running, nobody is working on the ride nor were there any indication that it was being worked on, and Griffon went down twice this afternoon. Sorry for the potato quality image, I left my good camera at home. :(

I dont know alot about roller coaster mechanics but i would think that the heat would affect the motor and such. But again i dont know alot so maybe they were just trying to cool it down.

Some on-ride shots of Griffon that I took with a go pro mounted to a chest harness.

I rode Griffon tonight and as my train was pulling in, the guests on the train in the station that was preparing to take off were told to get off and stand back in line.  When we stopped, I noticed a guy laying on the ground between the platform where you get on the ride and the exit gates next to it.  He was holding his nose and there was a pool of blood underneath him.  It was as if he was walking past all the seats to set something aside before riding and fell and hit his nose or something.  I didn't see the incident happen, but they had to call first aid and shut the ride down for a bit.  I don't believe the incident happened on the ride itself, but it was kind of a scary sight to see someone on the ground with a puddle of blood underneath him.  I was wondering if anyone had any news on what happened.  It didn't seem like too big of a deal.  It looked worse than it probably was.  The staff remained calm, called first aid, and took care of it.  The guy was able to walk away without assistance.  I've never seen something like that happen at Busch Gardens.  Does anyone have any information on the incident?
