I guess the better option is move green lantern to la ronde to replace the old stand up coaster and add in a b&m dive coaster in green lantern lot (maybe call it big wave to fit in with boardwalk if they going to have a water feature)

but there's medusa, if green lantern gets a conversion, they would give green lantern the rmc treatment and make it a b&m dive coaster
And that’s why I said a smaller park. Relocate it and convert it in the process, Great Adventure is far from a small park lol.

The post says replacing the T2 plot (I assume they mean T3)… so not in its original location if true.
Even then, at a glance it doesn’t even look like it would fit in that space, and that’s assuming they get creative with the lift and drop placement by extending it towards the parking lot

Just at a glance that's a troll post. Why would Kentucky Kingdom want it back anyway? Sentimental reasons?

I'd like these removal rumors to be false. I love Stand-Ups, and this is one of the craziest there is. If a removal is imminent, hopefully Six Flags will move it (as is, maybe with a refurb) to a park closer to me in lieu of the wrecking ball. IIRC, once upon a time, Chang was destined for SFGAm. Valleyfair and SFSTl haven't seen a new coaster in a few minutes... Ah, wishful thinking.

Removing GL would be addition through subtraction in my opinion. The ride really does nothing for the lineup and is a big example of GAdvs issue of having too many mid/bad rides. If they replaced it with something good, it would make the lineup look a whole lot better.

Green Lantern was really shoehorned-in to an odd piece of land left over by GASM. They could do so much better with a ride custom-built for the space (wooden coaster on the Boardwalk?) or with a Resort Hotel connected to the park.

If they aren't removing Kingda Ka, this is what I would want. The park could use either another wooden coaster or an on site hotel very badly, those would both be good options

It would be nice to get some conclusive information on GL. Does anyone have any sources inside the park? It's probably safe to say a 2025 removal won't happen, at least not an early one, as there should have been teasers for it's closure by this time encouraging last rides. I would like to see something better in it's spot themed to the boardwalk.

Been saying for a while that with a floorless conversion, it becomes a smaller park’s star attraction. Good layout, but dear god it’s a miserable experience as it currently is.
I meant actually that it's fairly smooth and in good shape. I think it's a poor layout especially for a standup, to repeat myself. The only thing miserable is getting in and out of it, or if you try to reride it. Or get on Superman by mistake.

If it gets moved, put some floorless trains on it.
Most floorless loopers, IMO, are still headbangy messes, and the conversions are regarded as even worse than most, no? I believe GL would be a dud just about anywhere they sent it.

Not to mention, for the price of relocation, a park could purchase a brand new mid-sized coaster that would likely be better received.

I've done three floorless conversion B&M stand-ups now (is that all of them?) and none of them are super comfortable rides but, at least in the case of Firebird (the only one I've done before and after), it is still an enormous improvement. Definitely not saying that a relocated, floorless Green Lantern would be a flagship coaster, but there are parks in the chain where it would still probably be one of the stronger attractions in said park. Think about, say, SFStL. Swapping the likes of Ninja out for a converted Green Lantern would be a monumental upgrade to the park's lineup.

Firebird is the most violently headbangy awful coaster I've ever ridden. If it was even worse before... that is pretty astounding. It is easily the worst coaster i've ridden and is something I never ride any more. I gave it quite a few chances too.
