RE: Entwined: Tales of Good & Grimm (2012 to Present)

Considering the maypole and such s taken down for an all new set, I would assume no maypole until after Illuminights, but also that area is used for other things during HOS and CT, so it is just a spring thing?

RE: Entwined: Tales of Good & Grimm (2012 to Present)

Could the Maypole show coexist with Wonderbarn like it did with the Cuckoo Clock show during Illuminights couple years ago? It would be nice to still have the Maypole show there during the daytime and the Wonderbarn show at night.

They could do that, but it would be weird seeing someone taking down the maypole and carrying it to a back area. It might be hard for them do do a set change in somewhat secrecy.

Keep in mind that the actors for this is OktobetFest are the same ones for the Maypole. If WunderBarn returns it is safe to assume that the same group would perform, given the similarities. It might be a little difficult to coordinate the shows with the same actors. They have to get a break somewhere. Of course there could always be another group. ;)

Also, Entwined is not playing at all today. The schedule has This is OktoberFest ALL DAY LONG!!!

Yea I was checking show schedules online last week and noticed that, but tomorrow they just have Entwined playing, and then for the rest of the week it is the same. Entwined for Lunch, and This is Oktoberfest for Dinner.
Maybe they'll do this every so often, so they can mix it up, or for some other reason. Here is the show schedule. for today.
And here is the schedule for tomorrow with only Entwined(you have to click on April 2nd).

RE: Entwined: Tales of Good & Grimm (2012 to Present)

This could indicate that the shows will not play seven days a week when the park is open full time. Each show could have a day off. This may be the same with Mix It Up since I'm hearing there is a band to fill in. I'm somewhat disappointed with this scenario, but it probably means the park pays for less cast members this way if everyone takes the same day off. I hope I'm wrong because I'd prefer to have the main shows every day during the summer.

RE: Entwined: Tales of Good & Grimm (2012 to Present)

Well, assuming that they don't have any back ups, and the fact that by the companies standards every employee can only work at most 6 days consecutively, I would say that this makes sense.

I will also say, rules like the 1 day a week off rule has been bent and abused before, and they probably have a few back ups, hopefully.

RE: Entwined: Tales of Good & Grimm (2012 to Present)

I didn't mean to imply that the cast should work seven days a week. I meant that they could offer the shows seven days a week if they hired enough duplicate cast members like they do with Celtic Fyre. Even with one cast and a day off, I'm sure they have understudies/swings if someone misses a day. I'm sorry if I didn't explain it right the first time.

Did you know the ENTWINED sign lights up at night?

Wait? It lights up at night, yet This is Oktoberfest plays inside the Festhaus at night? What a way to confuse tourists.....

It is just a way to save money. Instead of taking down the sign and putting up a sign the shows off both shows equally, they decided to just to save money and add and smaller not noticeably large sign underneath indicating This Is Oktoberfest is playing as well. But I will agree that it will probably confuse the GP a lot.

For you CK- just for you:

Saw your post on BGW's facebook very nice picture. The wolf doesn't really look all that bad when it's not dancing!:p And for that matter doing Acrobats.

RE: Entwined: Tales of Good & Grimm (2012 to Present)

You know, it's a strange thing. I used to not be able to wait to get to Das Festhaus to get my corned beef or turkey sandwich for lunch and sit down and watch a show. Last season I could tolerate Entwined; not so this year. I have lost all desire to go to the Festahus for lunch. I really enjoy TIO, but by then I am not usually hungry and I don't like to have dinner in the park. This has caused me to venture out and explore other things for my lunch-time cravings. So thank you Mr. G.!! For without you, I would not have discovered my love for THIS:

EDIT:
Moved from TIO cause of blaming Entwined for this post.

RE: Entwined: Tales of Good & Grimm (2012 to Present)

Feels like an eternity since I visited the Festhaus, so I took a chance and watched IT again. Noticed that they finally got some GIANT FEET to cover up the bottom of the stilts. Things looked like that blade runner guy in the Olympics (you know, the one who killed his wife or something). Also, Pinocchio still puts his hands in his pocket, tells a girl he really likes her hair; wood grows.
Yup. Still hate it.
