Finally got to see it today. I was left speechless at points. Why? I had no idea what was going on. Literally this show made my head hurt. My 14 year old brother asked if we could leave because it was so bad. Giant hot sauce bottle-really? This gives me no hope for anything Scott will do in the future.

I just almost snorted a french fry through my nose. :shocked:
There's the letterman jacket. Many of the characters dress up like they are in GREASE. Leather jacket, hot pants... might as well get some white t-shirts and roll up a pack of cigarettes in the sleeves.

I went into Das Festhaus today just to warm up. After five minutes I was just saying to myself, I don't care how cold it is I can't deal with Entwined. Harsh? Perhaps, but I just have been able to bring myself to sit through the full show. Not sure what it is but the show still rubs me the wrong way. On the other hand I am chomping at the bit to see the relaunched This is Octoberfest.

I'm done! I went through every last one of the pictures I took of Entwined with my new camera yesterday, picked the ones I liked, and edited each and every one by hand. Enjoy!

- Anyone who's experienced with show photography, forgive me- I got the camera on Friday.
- Sorry about the order. Most are in the order that they occur in the show but since they were taken at two different shows, there's some odd ones thrown in there.

They came from mix it up! If you look at the show pics on the outside of the building at Mix it Up those are in it along with the giant tin bucket.

I'm not sure if they are! But I'd imagine proably not. That'd be hard to get them back and forth everyday and not cause damage.

Show was better than last year. I'll give it that. I like the set... But again, I was left with "WTF" face a few times.
The show is definitely salvageable... atleast the wolf isn't completely laughable anymore, which was my biggest gripe... By the end of the season it can actually be pretty great... But, again.. some of the songs should probably go and they should take the lest gaudy approach... A fairytale is still a fairytale, and a more serious presentation will still captivate the younger audience. You don't have to provide dumbed down entertainment for the younger audience... I honestly believe a show can be targeted towards one audience but provide a well rounded experience for everyone outside the target range... Especially in a venue like Festhaus.
Honestly, the only reason I believe people arent tearing apart entwined this year is because TIO is back... So they are willing to look the other way... But it doesnt make it an awesome show... I mean I know its not targeting my demo... but my problem is its in the festhaus... the family eatery. Any show in there should be "neutral". I shouldn't want to avoid the parks biggest eatery because of a mega gaudy show.

I'd like to think I'm generally honest and agenda-free here, so in that spirit, I'd have to say... I don't hate it as much as I did the first time I saw it. I've seen it four times now. It's starting to grow on me a little.
That being said, I generally think it's a bad idea to produce a theme park show that a guest would have to see 5 or 10 times in order to "get used to it."

^While it is a quirky show, I think part of getting used to it is the fact that many people here are generally uncomfortable with anything other than an Oktoberfest style show in that venue. If the show was performed in a traditional theater, and you were sitting back relaxed in a seat and not knowing what to expect, I think it wouldn't be such a difficult thing to "get used to."
