What fairy tales?!?

I'm just going by what the story is supposedly about. The Brothers Grimm fairy tales. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grimms'_Fairy_Tales ) I didn't say they were actually there ;)

I know it was mentioned a few months back this may be Entwined last year and it was only kept around to justify the show and make them not look stupid. Is anyone else thinking we may see a 3rd season based on the the amount of work and theming put Into the set? I have a bad feeling it may return next year.

RE: Entwined: Tales of Good and Grimm (2012 to Present)

For me, I just thought some of the music selections were out of context to the Grimm's Fairy Tales theme. I just thought it was ...... weird.

Here is a section of a show produced at Kings Island in 1991 called "Superstars". It never made it to Kings Dominion because Paramount eliminated the in-house park chain entertainment division Kings Productions the following year and it never had a chance to migrate to the other parks in the chain. the First 5 1/2 minutes is a Marilyn "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend" / Madonna's "Material Girl"-"Vogue" melody. I would rather see this music performed in this show context rather than in "Entwined".

Maybe it is the elvish dwarfs shaking their booty at me that does not cut it for me. ;-)

I get what they're trying to do with the show, and it's something that people have done many times before. They're trying to put modern gags into fairy tales, just like Shrek and others did.

Thinking about, maybe they were trying to recreate Shrek's success.

RE: Entwined: Tales of Good and Grimm (2012 to Present)

They need to increase the frequency of saying "Happily Ever After" so everyone can lift their adult beverage and get CRUNK. Any show will do after enough repetitions. Hooray for drinking games!
You know what? You believers have convinced me. I change my mind. Entwined v3 is awesome!!!

- One of the dancing girls has a skirt that is MUCH shorter than the other girls. It wasn't because she was tall, and she wasn't a special character. Why?
She's in pointe shoes from what I could tell, although I was far back and couldn't get a good look at them, so they might just be regular ballet slippers.
(though she does go up on her toes, like in pointe) And she's the only one who does ballet/pointe, I'm unsure as to why her dress is shorter than the others.

I was under the impression that it was coming back to justify the money spent on the costumes and set pieces. Seeing that the sets and costumes are entirely new this year, I think it's back because Scott is really married to the concept.

RE: Entwined: Tales of Good and Grimm (2012 to Present)

My daughter has been singing "Dancing Queen" all weekend. See...see?!? This is how it begins. I am now almost certainly guaranteed to be dragged back to the Festhaus early in the day, time and time again this season. Darn you Scott!!!!

As am I. Should I repeat how much I liked the show? Nah, no one wants to hear that....

We all want to hear what our favorite admin thinks about Entwined.

The more I think about it, the more I legitimately enjoy it. Granted there are some parts I enjoy because I feel like I'm slipping into madness, and there are some outfits I liked more in the first two versions, but I really enjoy the show.

RE: Entwined: Tales of Good and Grimm (2012 to Present)

After watching the show, I feel like you guys tore it down way too much. The storyline was very clear to me. I kind of felt like Scott was like lets add some Imaginique with a dash of Jack is Back when it came to the aerial stunts and Dancing Queen. Then he had to add some of his flare with disco balls.
The storyline I saw was, poor girl gets invite to big party that she wants to go to so she can get out of her boring life and be cool, along the way she meets friends and foes, learns a valuable lesson while also using that lesson to get her dream guy.
I think this show is actually on par with the first two versions. It is just less kidsiderate and more entertaining for adults just as much as kids. I personally don't mind any of the versions, they all seemed to be fine to me. I particularly like this newer version because of the aerial stunts performed. Although I very much hate the fact that Das Festhaus is a restaurant not a theater. You need a show with no real storyline, or else you have to pay so much attention you can't eat your food.
That is why I think This Is Oktoberfest and Mix It Up are good shows for their venues because there is no major storyline to keep up with, just a series of acts and dancing and music thrown together in a stylish show form. I also think Dig It Up, Night Beats, Miracles, and Deck the Halls all have that kind of theme. There is no real story, which makes them perfect for dinner theaters. You aren't too distracted from your food.

Just gotta say something...

This thing is in Das Festhaus. That is all.

Wow just wow. I just joined this forum because I love theme parks and thought I could find some people on here to talk about shows and rides but wow. Some you you people are terrifing and very sad. You tear down this show (and others) ruthlessly. You ARE (this is not debatable) You ARE terrible people! One of you says you have a kid, I feel so bad for this poor child you are raising with this view of hatred and cyberbullying. I dare you to actually state your opinions face to face to some of the hardworking people in these shows. NO? I thought not, cowards. You see nothing. I saw all the shows in the park that were open this weekend. I saw at EVERY show lots of people laughing and enjoying themselves. I also saw both performers and crew members working themselves to the bone to make people happy. You bashers should truly be ashamed. But as I see one person posted they are finally able to 'fit' on all the rides I see you are not the type to take responsibilty for your own actions. Now it is fine to have an opinion, and every show is not for every person, some of you seem to take disgusting, sick, frightening pleasure in tearing this show apart! I thought it was very fun, I liked certain parts better than others, but as theme park entertainment I thought is was great and there were a lot of talented people who obviously put a ton of hard work into this show. Shame on you people who can't even recognize that hard work. But I imagine you don't how to do any work at all I imagine walking back to the Festhaus was a huge chore for you, probably took a mountain of effort to heave some of yourselves all that way. Shame shame shame SHAME! I was looking for some balanced, well-rounded people to talk about entertainment with. Instead I found LUNATICS! So some advice from a newbie, get your meds upped, you need it.

Reported. My eyes feel violated.

RE: Entwined: Tales of Good and Grimm (2012 to Present)

I'm going to assume you're either cast or crew on Entwined in which case I can almost, sorta, kinda see why you'd react so strongly to the controversy around Entwined but I still think your post was both horrifically rude and insulting. I think I speak for everyone when I say that I have no gripes with the cast or crew at all. They're (you're?) doing what's on the scrip you were given. We're not fans of the concepts behind the show and what the show stands for. I don't think anyone here faults you for doing your job. With that said, please try to take a step back from the situation and see it from the outside before you go attacking people. No one has said anything to warrant the response you posted.
