Did the world really need a Best Theme Park Castle category?

Well Nicole you would be surprised at how many knock off Disneyland Castles there are... Also on Colombous Day the dripping ice effect was working in full effect. :)

My idea of something being 'let go' is a little different.

When mold starts to become visible, and something turns a vivid shit color when it wasn't originally that color, that's when something's let go IMO.

Not meant to be rude to you Mazakman, just to express my anger.

When I was there earlier this year, the heat blast didn't work.
The heat blast never worked effectively. When I took the tour I found out that the park spent a lot of money and time on that one effect and it didn't work properly once. It's sad since the machinery now just sits there not doing anything. But at the end of the day the park gave there best and that's all that matters. Also not everybody dis-likes the new decreased spinning portion. I took my Grandparents on the ride and they loved it compared to back in 2007 when they looked quite dizzy... While I do miss the spinning now that a whole family can ride together really is magical so I actually hope they keep it like that. Or maybe some day the park could make it like Empire of the Penguin at SWO and have a mild and wild version.

I would love to see that! Of course, I would always pick "wild" for myself, but I want other people to be able to ride it with me if they don't like thrill rides. They would probably have to invest in an almost entirely new ride system though.

I proposed that a lllooooonnngggg time ago.
Sorry about that. I remember somebody mentioning it but dind't know who...:p It probably is possible with the system they have now. Maybe they re-furbish, add a new scene or two, and the wild and mild version for like the 15th anniversary? Gives them plenty of time and at that point it will probably need it.

Personally, I think the system that they are using already is very outdated even considering the time this ride was built. To be more specific, they are using some very old operating systems. I'm sure it works just fine, but there's no excuse to use a system that just lets you "get by". Another major problem on this ride is the sound cues. Most people, including some higher-ups that work there don't even notice what's missing. Sigh. I miss the days when John Reiley was the park president. If he didn't know/wasn't able to give the answer to something, he would usually just say so instead of making something up. Sometimes it's good to have reliable resources in high places. That can really give you an idea for whether or not the park is willing or even able to do anything to make something better than what it is.

They don't put the scene separating curtains down in that area anymore, which is an incredibly terrible and ugly thing, and it irks me to no end. Otherwise, it would be pitch black in that room, like it used to be.
