Admin note: We would also prefer that members use the correct term "unmanned aerial vehicles" (UAVs), rather than the term "drones," which was popularized by the press during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.

DoD employees also find it offensive whey you use the term "Drone" It make us very uncomfortable.

Mad Ludwig A should be a merchandise option, would really throw people for a loop when they ride Darkastle expecting it to be a non-serious attraction.

When I first rode this I was terrified. I wouldn't dare go near it for two years.

When I first rode at 12 or something I was honestly expecting more horror. But that's just me.

I was never scared by any ride in the park, I just HATE loud music(Not loud sounds, just music), and occasionally, I still have to plug my ears on Pompeii and Darkastle.

Shame the park didn't include that scene into the finished product. Would've been better than bouncing around in the dark for a few seconds.

No, the scene where you go crashing through the towers and castle is what replaced the ballroom scene. The dark part was always intended to be there.

Also, the ballroom scene did end up in the finished product. It was replaced during the "2006 update" with the "escape" scene. You can see it in this video at the 1:42 mark, just after the dark spinning scene.

I still can't figure out what was going on in the ballroom scene I posted. Was it a test ballroom scene?

I need to finish my update of the post-2006 version. It is just taking me a while. It is being made worse by the fact that many of the sound gates don't function anymore. I cant easily get recorded audio to make up for what I don't already have. At some point, I would like to create a full simulator for the ride, but all I can think of is "I'm getting aHEAD of myself!".

Thankfully there is quite a bit out there on this ride. The names are a good thing to know as well if you are really interested in everything there is to know about DarKastle.

Edit: I mean names of the people involved with the ride. Sometimes people take pictures of their work, and are glad to show it off.
