Am i the only one that noticed that Holiday Hills yesterday had lights that were not working...?

Nope.

- Festa was full of burnt out bulbs. Something should be done about that. Half the bridge was completely dark. I REALLY wish the park put this much effort into the HOS Festa decor.

They'll fix them soon, I wouldn't be surprised that on my trip tonight they were fixed.

Yea they were so rushed this year to get set up that they just forgot to check a few before sending them to be put up. Again, I'm sure they'll be fixed soon.

Theoretical times for Street Performers:
(This is information culled together from performers and one stage manager who is in charge of the Brass Band & Carolers; not a published schedule. Is subject to change)

Herald Angel Brass Band
-Park opening/3:30ish in England at the entrance by the red phone booth.
-4:30, 5:30, BREAK, 7:00, 8:00 in Festa on the stage by Dasher's Diner.
-Park closing/9:00ish in England at the exit by the fountain/Christmas tree.

*14-15 minute performance.
**Has a repertoire of 16-18 songs. Will mix them up with some crossover in England/Festa.

Carolers
-2:30, 3:00, 3:30, 4:00, 4:30, 5:00, 5:30, 6:00, BREAK, 7:00, 7:30, 8:30, 9:00, 9:30, 10:15 in England by Big Ben.

*Basically, every half hour'ish, with the exception of the BREAK.
**There are two groups of carolers who will rotate and take separate breaks.

The Bagpiper
-3:15, 4:15, 5:15, 6:15, BREAK, (6:45?), 7:45, 8:45, 9:45 in Ireland on the stage across from Grogan's. Will walk up and down the pathway in Killarney as well.

*Basically, first half of night is on the 15's, second half is on the 45's. (Sometimes reversed?)

Improv Group in France/Aquitaine(proper name coming)
-Times coming soon
-Interact with crowd; give out handbells to play Jingle bells?

I hear the park uses a lot of generators for CT lights.

CK hears correctly, all the Christmas lights in the park are powered by diesel generators located throughout the park. The park actually rents the generators and does not personally own them. The only lights that are actually plugged into the park's electric are some of those that follow along the path of the train, otherwise, all generator.

That is why during Christmas Town you will see some extra fences go up around very small square areas, that is fencing to cover up the generators. It also gives Entertainment a good look at how expensive it is for them to power the lights. The one department is in charge of paying those bills for the generators.

Saw three or four generators last night.

Actually none of the lights were tested before being put up anywhere. They just put everything together and kept going back through and replacing lights. There was actually a section of lights in England that went out as well. Between that and what little rain there was could have caused some issues.

Also, I'm quite upset with the quality of the trees this year. I have noticed spot of emptiness. Last year there were lights on every branch. This year it looked like they skipped sections of the trees.

$17 but please, please, please don't eat there. Luke and I went last night. Utter and complete garbage. Shame too because last year it was rather grand.

By the way, it should be noted that there is no ham at this year's event. No, I don't understand it either.

Zacahry, did you take pictures in Tweedside? CK took us there to see the "sights".

Get'er done!!

Theme is...MAN CAVE!!
Redneck Christmas...
...and change of focus in Tweedside Station.

You must see this store's offerings to believe it. SMH!

Most, if not all, of these items were in the Trading Post in New France during the regular season. Probably just shifted to Tweedside for CT as the Trading Post is indoor seating. Redneck is kind of big right now. Not sure it should be at Tweedside though...

Honestly I don't imagine it will be all that horrible. I'm fairly certain 90% of people don't know Christmas Town is actually open yet.

So what would you recommend for the best value for bringing a family of four. Like you said last year's was good. That was always our go to for eating to get the best value even if the food was a little sub par. And $17.00 seems like a price hike over last year. Correct me if I am wrong.

That's a great question. I don't want to recommend anything I haven't personally tried this year so I'm afraid right now your guess is as good as mine. :-/

I agree and yes, I think that is an increased price over last year but I don't have anything to actually document that. Anyway, we saw two other people complaining just in the very short window of time we were there (not including the complaint we filed). Hopefully they'll get it fixed in the next few weeks, but right now at least, I'd definitely avoid Dasher's.
