Kinda where I ended my thought - though maybe a walk-through lights display kind of like the one at the Oceanfront timed to music or at least on-theme to the playlist?

I expect they could enforce distancing enough to run the lights show outside of Festhaus, given that you can see it from so many angles in that area, if they really want to say they have a show and don’t want to deal with blocking off seats at the Royal Palace.

To be honest, I don't think they'll install O'Tannenbaum. That tree requires a crane and I don't think BG will want to spend that much money. I could see a group of smaller trees in that location. I would be surprised to see the wreaths in England as they would need a scissor lift and quite a bit of manhours. I think this event will be scaled back dramatically with smaller displays and smaller trees. The Wild Reserve has plenty of natural evergreens that could be draped with lights. They had a DJ in Ireland. A few carolers really wouldn't be any different.

I wonder if they will use their parking lot Christmas tree attraction again? If they had the time, they could probably make it really pretty and possibly even theme the trees some. Since it is walk-through, they could potentially keep it safe, as well.

Yeah and most the set from that is still up all they’d really have to do is clean it and put the trees up with lights

From what I understand they have quite a bit of time budgeted for decorating for this event. Obviously not as much as they normally would. But I wouldn't be ruling out anything specific just yet. I definitely wouldn't rule out O'tannenbaum. I think that's one that I would be more surprised to see cut, mostly because it's a signature item and the set up for it isn't as intensive as you might think.

I do agree with the wreaths though. I wouldn't expect to see as many of them compared to what we are used to seeing. But that's more sure to staffing and needing to prioritize other things. The park actually owns quite a few scissor lifts so they already have some on property.

That is an awesome find! Now we can narrow down what shows/ entertainment generally have those instruments/performers in them.

Decorating is in full swing. I have so much that I want to tell y'all about this event, but there is no way that I could tell you and not get someone in trouble.

This event should be really interesting though.

Sesame or no Sesame? (I know you posted about the September footprint in the other thread, just wondering if we'll see that adjustment or not).

Sadly, I think it's a no on sesame. But I can't say for sure. There are definitely a lot of cool stuff coming from what I've been told about it.
I can’t confirm if it will be there or not either but from everything I’m hearing it won’t be apart of the footprint.

It's definitely the most intriguing event in terms of trying to organize everything: lights are a draw but only in the evening, whereas daytime sessions have historically been for shows that won't be as numerous, and rides that are more family-oriented. While socially distant Santa seems to be in the cards, I think the park is going to need to get creative to generate enough of the ritualized elements of a Christmas Town visit without being able to actually provide "Christmas Town" as we understand it, while also balancing the pricing of the event compared to the previous limited events.

Maybe they figure families will still bring kids to see Santa/ride the socially distanced train even if there's no Sesame, which may be true!

^^-- as far as decorations, like Halloween, they have the stuff. Just a matter of setting it up (A small warehouse of fog machines says hi!).
