So then Germany might be opening up for Christmas Town?
Germany will be open because the Festhaus is going to be the restaurant. But also it would be hard to open Verbolten if they closed Germany.

I’ve been hearing rumors of Griffon being open but those are just rumors who knows if it’s true.
I've been hearing alpengeist could be open, weather permitting of course.
I wouldn't count on either ride being open. They have tried to open Griffon during CT before and it was almost never warm enough. There's a reason why the only coasters normally open during CT are Invadr and Verbolten. They are the only ones that are really capable of running consistently in the CT temps.

With the caveat that I have no reasonable reason to believe this would be true this year in particular, I will say that in a meeting I had with some BGW folks in the Before Times last fall, they mentioned that the idea of Alpengeist opening during Christmas Town was something that they had been thinking about?

But yeah, I think there’s ever reason to believe that we’re going to see the typical “two family coasters and Finnegan’s” lineup, although one does wonder how this will impact the pricing for the event when there also won’t be shows.

Alpengeist actually opened for the start of Christmas Town one year when Bolt was down for prolong worked a few years back so it is a definite possibility.

Alpengeist will not be open for this event. I am 99% certain. The only small chance is if they decide to go ahead and open it up for the first w weekends when it's still warm enough

https://careers.seaworldparks.com/Home/Search looks like there’s a little bit of job openings. Including ride operators, state manager, and preformers!

They are looking for a bodhran and violin/fiddle player. A bodhran is an instrument used in celtic fyre and there was a violin player in the show also. Maybe they will have some singing and dancing on the outdoor stage in front of the theater? I am still having Celtic Fyre withdrawals. Fortunately there are a few youtube videos to hold me over.

They have talked about adding sleigh rides before, actually. They are great at Caro and KD.

I feel like BGW has a hill problem to contend with, which may have been the sticking point.

I really hope we get the wreaths and garland in England like the picture.

Yeah, I feel like they’re making a promise by using images from previous Christmas Towns.

Yea, promoting a image used for previous events gives the impression on the same event this season to people that do not closely follow the park. If you come from a state that is wide open to visit family here over the holidays you might assume that the event is basically as it always has been. Something along the lines of “we are starting new traditions with this all new limited holiday event” would be a better description.

1 - Using the short clip of a previous CT doesn’t bother me in the slightest. I don’t get why it’s an issue to be honest. They aren’t gonna use a stock picture and this just shows the holiday spirit.

2 - At this point in a pandemic if someone doesn’t take two minutes to see what an event is in a pandemic they have no right to complain about what the event is like for going to something in a pandemic. Seriously. That point gets no sympathy from me.

There are more than enough trees up in the park, they could put the lights on a couple and take new photos with “guests” wearing masks, that would be a more appropriately used marketing image and set expectations of guests during this “pandemic”.
