We will definitely go to ride the train (please please please!), look at the lights, see Santa if he's there. But the shows, man, the shows! That's going to hurt to not see them!

A lot of cleaning going on at the Darkastle queue area. Pretty strong suggestions that Santa’s workshop will be open for this event!

Edit: there is work going on inside the building. Pretty much confirms it now

I’ll say it: I think it would be insane to run that indoor queue, and so the only way this is safe is if they do some kind of reservation/timed check-in that removes the waiting part and just ushers people into a socially distant Santa photo op and out again.

Why? Most of the queue is a single file line, just take out the switchback at the first covered area, the rest is mostly outside. Or are you using te term ":insane " as a throuback to the ride..."you were never sane to begin with"? lol

When I went through that queue last year (admittedly with PhotoKey access that shortened it a bit), it was entirely inside: single file, yes, but long and winding and included the Santa’s Workshop section where there were activities and the like. Unless they have a lot of promises about ventilation and elves at regular intervals, that’s too much shared indoor space with an airborne virus even if capacity means that lines will be much shorter than past years.

Here’s a picture

I deleted them. Not trying to have consequences haha didn’t know we weren’t allowed to do that but thanks again for letting me know!

To be clear you are allowed to post them here BUT the park does monitor the forums and takes a dim view of such actions and has been know to respond negatively to them. One suggestion is if you have them want to share get them to one of the moderators such as Zachery they have a good record of protecting sources and knowing want and how to post stuff without getting you in trouble.

Okay, Good to know! Thank you

I think we can call festa not being open basiclly guaranteed, there isn’t any utility marking over there for the setup to christmas town or whatever we’re calling it now lol, i’d anticipate the same layout of the park that was featured in taste of busch gardens

Got to the park tonight for the last hour...way more than enough time to see everything but anyhow. The shear number of trees in England, Scotland and by the Festhaus were suprising there are so many this early. Now im courious what New France looks like right now.

The layout will be exactly the same as taste. With the exception that you will see some more area in germany because the Festhaus will be the restaurant for this event. The only chance for a loop is, honestly, if the cap is raised.

I'm not really worried about the loop for this event, as I found the Taste setup really didn't have the same kind of bottlenecking that we saw in the first event (and which is a LITTLE more prominent for this event).

do we have any info/educated guesses on the attraction line up assuming it’s the same layout as taste of bgw

I think it would be cool, but probably completely unlikely, for them to do something like the cookie stroll at EPCOT. It would be more socially distanced than cookie decorating, and it would add a fun activity that would generate revenue. They could probably use the tins that they have offered with the cookies in the past.

That would be great! Last year the cookies really were good so I think a lot of people would be willing to do a Stroll. This would probably even be much more popular with kids than the Food and Wine Festival is. Nearly everyone loves dessert!
