[Diamondback looking derpy]
You got me there, I'd take Apollo's front car any day.

But I was talking about the trains themselves, not the front cars.

The feeling of freedom isn’t worth the loss of all forces the rides with those trains seem to have.
I thought Behemoth and Diamondback were decently forceful. Not as much as the four-across hypers, but not mild like Intimidator or the Cedar Fair Morgan hypers.

Amazed no one ever posted this. Unless, it was someone on this site? Alright guys, fess up, who was it?

This image also really put a seed of thought into my mind. What would happen if someone HYPOTHETICALLY navigated a kayak down the Rhine River? Like let’s hypothetically say they launched it from the golf course near the park and then navigated it towards the park. Obviously this is all hypothetical and I imagine no one would ever do that, but still cool to think about some of the visuals.

Anyways, back to AC. I can’t wait to ride this beast once the park reopens. It has a fresh coat of paint and in more recent years I’ve heard the lift audio more frequently than before. I imagine with the addition of Pantheon this classic attraction is going to see even more ridership.

The amount of money I would pay for an excursion like this is obscene

...Am I missing something? That’s literally a photo someone took from the Rhine River Cruise.
I thought it was too at first and then I felt really stupid since I was a captain at Rhine for 1 season (probably my favorite ride to operate tbh) and we would have been scraping bottom if we went that far. I did look a little further into the OP's story and it definitely seems possible to get there if you are OK with about a half mile hike off 60.

Doesn't seem too bad assuming you could drop in by the golf course.

Besides the obvious entrance to a ride restricted area (since there doesn't appear to be a fence over there) and/or trespassing, are there any crimes being committed? Also, I'd assume park security has issues with this otherwise?

From that entrance in the water next to Busch road to Apollo's turnaround is about half a mile. I kayak a lot and I can assure you most people could do that in easily under 30 mins.

Come to think of it that would be a pretty cool place to kayak around in ?. Maybe I'm in for a trip soon!

This reminds me of a friend who was a swimmer at W&M in the mid 90s. He and his buddies used to swim across the Rhine to get into the park for free. Not sure where they got in the water but they only did it when it was really hot so their clothes would quickly dry.

So. I’m excited to see how well the new paint job has held up, since last season.

I take this exit off of 64 nearly every day going to work. Apollo's Chariot really does look a lot different than it used to and it truly pops.

I'm hopeful that one day coming over the bridge I'll see Pantheon shooting over the top hat during a test...

So that photo of Apollo by the water, you can get a photo of that from the Rhine River Cruise, specifically during one of the reservation only wine cruises.

Here is something that I think a lot of people here will agree with. Apollo is super bipolar. Some days have no airtime and some days its amazing.
