Nora, when was that taken? I'm almost positive that those railings blocking the bottom of the window aren't there any more....

Hey Swiftie, This photo was taken on the Coaster Tour I was just on recently and I am sure the rails would still be there. The platform is for the staff, singers, and dancers to get to the rooms above the Festhaus. Maybe the angle I am taking the photo from is just an odd angle.

well i guess this means no coaster, right? Didn't ac, alpie, griffon, etc all cost in the multi-million dollar range? They cant's squeeze all the renovation+drop tower+rollercoaster into under a billion $...

i change my mind, maybe it can all fit...

I wonder what type of a coaster we would get, if we were to get one?????????????????

Maybe a Flyer or Stand up would be cool

Hey guys, this is my first post (that i actually had substance in lol)!!!!

Yeah it could def. all still be there. Alpengeist cost $25 million total, the Drop Tower will probably cost around $15 million. So it depends on their definition of multi million is. Technically it could go up to $99 million. lol ;)

EDIT: $999 million

I actually had to look up your abbreviation of "tyvm" DaTrueBGWFan. Sorry, but urban dictionary acronyms are not my strong suit.

Yeah, I am sorry, I thought it said billion instead of million. My mistake, however it still can be very close, like said before, it may be $999 million dollars. That is a lot of money, and a new country doesn't have to cost billions of dollars. It could be cheap, if it was built like Scotland or if it was like Festa Italia, small and with small flat rides and games with shops.

However they can do renovations, the drop tower, a roller coaster, and a new country as long as it all costed $999 million or less. If the drop tower is only $15 million then a coaster could be $25 million and renovations could cost up to a near $45 million which leaves $15 million for a new country. See, it all fits if you squeeze in the numbers and be conservative with what you have, depending if you theme properly. Too much theming is bad, but so it too little, and so theming for a tower really doesn't have to be much so they can save a few million off of that.

Too much theming is bad?

Theming is just as important to me as the ride itself. Look at "Volcano" at KD. Awesome ride really just an amazing thrill, but the theming is freaking terrible. It makes a top 10 coaster feel like a carnival flat. On the other side of the spectrum "Big Thunder Mountain" at WDW, is a simple runaway mine train, but the theming makes it hugely entertaining and a park favorite.

Too much theming, like too much horsepower, is never a bad thing.

IMHO of course...

Another one of Arrow Dynamic's finest!

I agree some people can theme and make the ride, others can theme and break the ride.

Well, personally, I do not think there would be a retheming of Oktoberfest - just a Face lift if anything. It makes no sense if BGW changes Oktoberfest to a new theme, yet leaves New France and Festa untouched! New France is even older than Oktoberfest!

I have a feeling the paths will be wider and the area more open, a few new buildings (shops and a food stand- something of the like) the tower and a new coaster. It will probably be brighter and more festive in their Oktoberfest themeing if anything.

Oh and what is up with the Daily Press article? The had a poll for which country you would like see built in BGW and Greece was not even an option! Boo! Here is the link: http://www.dailypress.com/features/family/dp-fea-busch-gardens-announcement-20100908,0,6928479.story
