Thanks for noticing that. It’s the little details like that, that just quietly vanish from the park and are lost to history.
The next oldest roller coaster after Nessie is Alpengeist. Maybe this is a hint that the plaza could be due next for some cosmetic work. The area could really use some anyways
Mark my words, but B&M simply does not, and will likely not do another custom Invert quite like Alpie. That drop, the Cobra Roll, and the sheer goodness of the ride from 1997 up until about 2012/13 was amazing. I still love it, but, the details are missing and we all know what "was." She rattles, but she rolls.

Seems like Alpengeist’s layout would make for a wicked wing coaster.
Probably. You don't see cobra rolls on wings or dive coasters, the stress on the extremities of the train would get nuts.

I, too, know it existed (as did similar lore-based queue videos for other major attractions), but as far as I know, a copy hasn't made its way online.
Alpie's queue and plaza are looking purty on her birthday! The snow got in the Plaza and the queue got a fresh coat of paint.
I'm actually impressed that they finally painted the snow down in the queue. Now if we can only get the roof snow back...
I remember it slightly- was very 90s animation-ey (like the 90s Spider-Man show) and had a ghost-ey thing in the sky above the mountain. I swear Griffon had one too.
Most of the rides built before 2015 had in-queue videos featuring some small backstory. I believe InvadR was the first coaster to open without its own little queue video. The video goes straight to the instructions.
My daughter loves InvadR's video with the viking getting in the train, every time she sees it she shouts VIKING LOADING!! When we are walking past the ride or are in the area i ask her what do you want want to ride next, she shouts VIKING LOADING!
