Anecdotal, but Alpengeist was absolutely flying in a way I haven’t felt before. It’s usually jerky due to its elements/geometry/track, but today the entire thing was just shaking and shuddering and whipping around. It felt much more unstable

I really want to like Alpengeist more than I do but every time I ride it, I come off feeling like it’s a great roller coaster simulator more than a roller coaster. The inverted seating with zero visibility hurts it for me; I get the forces but I’m basically stationary while the ride goes around me.

“Oh I guess we’re going down now. My feet are trying to fly off my legs, we must be upside down I guess? I think I might be upside down again, there are I think 6 inversions… oh we’re slowing down I think this is the break run.”

The front usually has a longer wait, because most people think it offers the best experience, because of the visuals.
I have never had a good ride on any seat other then the front, it wasn’t until I met this coaster did I ever ride in the front because I hated it until that ride, now it’s a top three coaster for me

The front and the back both offer very different experiences. The front is a much more serene and calm ride, with great views of the trees and the park. The back, however, feels like the ride is trying to kill you. In my eyes, I enjoy the back a lot more but I can understand why someone would like the front better.

Has anyone else noticed how much theming this Rollercoaster has lost! The ice sickles are gone and the paint on the loading station is very faded on the outside of it. We could go on but that would be ridiculous. We know it won't stand here forever so what do you all think k bgw will do with this in the future? Retrack, replacement, we all know it desperately needs new trains.

Alpengeist deserves the reverence Loch Ness receives in my opinion. Record holder, amazing theme, infamous cobra roll.

If Busch ever rips her out, I’ll cancel my pass. For sentimental reasons she will always be my #1.

I’d love to see them touch up her Ski house and repaint the white snow. It’s also kind of cool to see her with a little patina, they could really throw some howl o scream theming and play on the run down haunted aspect a little.

Alpie is likely to be fine for a good long while yet. I think it's pretty unlikely that the park will retrack it when the time does eventually come, but it shouldn't be anytime soon.

I don't know anyone who thinks that and I don't know why anyone would. Alpie's trains have been impeccably maintained. There's no reason to believe any change will be or should be made as far as I'm aware.

The SEAS parks are usually REALLY good at maintaining trains

😍 Alpengeist's trains are the cleanest and best trains in the industry. Classic B&M Inverted trains are just about as good as it gets when it comes to a roller coaster train. They're beautiful, sleek, and simple. More modern roller coaster trains have grown complicated. I'd say new trains are certainly not necessary on Alpengeist.

In my experience, one of the trains runs way rougher than the other. You can tell by the amount of noise it makes on the lifthill. I also only ride in the back, so that may influence it a bit.

The alp trains are cool, but rides that have unique zero cars like verbolten and rides with stylized trains are the best out there
