That is true, the showscenes do run on an ABC pattern. So if there’s 3 trains on the track, unless there’s a weird glitch, each train will have its own showscene as long as there are 3 trains on. Then, if there’s 2, 4, or 5, the train will take longer to rotate back around to the showscene it started with.

So the park still insists this is a family coaster...this has me thinking. The new wave of family coasters - the Big Bear Mountains, Good Gravies, and Phoenix Risings of the world - don't seem to push the envelope of intensity like this or Cheetah Hunt did. As someone scared into nonriderhood as a child by a ride that was too intense, I will always maintain that parks need play-it-safe family coasters like those first.

Maybe this ride was just so far ahead of its time, and suffered for it. In the next decade, as more of the 48" minimum old-school thrill rides reach the end of their service lives, the time will come for new extreme coasters with 48" minimums like this.

Yes, and many have said they believe it's even worse now.
Verbolten truly is a shell of its former self. Looking at the 3 POVs of opening year compared to now… it’s depressing. The ride had so much, and it was so cool. Now, it’s basically just a coaster in a box. Thats a new level of low, even for BGW/Seas.

The show building is in a sad state when I rode this yesterday. Barely any of the lights inside work and most of it is in pitch black, including the drop track section. I hope this is temporary.
We rode it Saturday and Sunday, and both times the drop track section was actually fully lit with all 3 themes (no flashing). The leaves, face and eyes were all just on. The sound was a different theme each time but you could clearly see the track drop mechanism as you approached. It was interesting, but kinda depressing how neglected it has gotten

Yup, that's what it was like when I rode it on Saturday.
