Same for me to. There was an issue with the ride last season when it kept triggering the storm theme every time. Not sure if the theme is experiencing issues or needs re-programming. At this stage of the ride's existence it would be cool to see them incorporate all three themes in a unique way. DarKoaster and Verbolten resemble each other in themes. However, Verbolten could really benefit from a werewolf animatronic on the drop-track. The werewolf needs to be an antagonist that stalks the ride as a result of the evil spirit that lurks in the Black Forest.

They desperately need to give this ride some love. I understand that the ride is 12 years old and that things are bound to break over time, but when it opened, it was one of the best themed coasters outside of Disney or Universal. I could give an entire 3-page essay of what I would do if I were an executive at BGW, and I'm not discounting their efforts, but I wish they would give Verbolten's show building the Loch Ness Monster makeover.

The issue is a weird mashup… it’s the fault of both entertainment and maintenance why the show building has ended up in the state it is. Remember in opening year where there were different “rooms” set up by curtains, and the thematic elements were placed against those curtains for the train to fly through? Yeah well, let’s just say someone damaged the curtains and neither maintenance or entertainment wants to foot the bill to fix it.

There was a recent post from BGWFans on X on 9/25 suggesting new rumors pointing to a retheme project somewhere in the park for 2026. Curious if that may be for Vbolt or something else. Either way, Vbolt is in need of some theming TLC.

Don't get me wrong. I really enjoy launching into that dark tunnel at night time, but there is so much scare that this ride can have. This seems to be the downside of these major chain corporations. So tell me; what was the ride experience like with curtains up?

Also, can someone tell me why no other park has built a Verbolten style coaster with this manufacturer?

I’m wondering if they’re ever going to put back the red train/car (aka ylb Dropin) back into commission

They should at least fix the Volkswagen effect at the start of the ride. that thing was cool to watch shake rattle and smoke before you took off now the only thing that works it the sound effects barely sometimes. Even the Porsche out front dosent smoke anymore just the sounds.

When I was at the park in July the red train was in the garage with the body work removed and it looked like it was all blown apart for a complete yearly rebuild. All 4 other trains were running and they were double loading in the station since the line was fairly long.

Well that's typical maintenance teams for you. Maybe the park will put ir back up some day if they could learn to coordinate with maintenance better. Anyways, how much do you think a scary werewolf animatronic would cost if it sat on the drop track? Is that possible?

The curtains were removed intentionally due to envelope issues. If the curtains ripped or fell for any reason, the ride would be unsafe.

Unfortunately this had led to a very, very, sad excuse of a themed attraction. The ride is a coaster in a box even moreso than darkoaster is—and what theming is still there is barely functioning or not even maintained at all. The park seriously needs to get their shit together and figure out how to fix this ride. Still a fun ride, but it’s not the same when there’s like 4 theming elements inside the entire building, when it used to be packed full of it. If the curtains were unsafe; what if they put up more permanent walls that are attached by metal frames so said theming elements can be restored? You should not be able to see the other side of the show building when you’re inside. I’ve had quite a few rides where some lights were having issues and you could see the entire building because they were stuck on. Not the evac lights, mind you—the show lights. For a ride that replaced arguably THE most popular attraction in the park’s history, you’d think they would want to have it at the best experience possible.

I agree it's a shell (literally) of what it used to be. Busch Gardens Entertainment is responsible for maintaining all theming you find on the rides. Maintenance simply makes sure the ride itself is safe and operational. There is no excuse, however, for attractions where the theming is a key part of the experience to degrade and disappear like they are on Verbolten.

Partially related: the park needs to shut down for things like this to get attention. BGW is running fairly consistently with less manpower than it's ever had. It's a shame that attention to detail is out the door. But, unfortunately, in order to run the park, the staff that's there is overwhelmed already just opening what's there.

Who knows entirely what the future may hold. For all we know, the park could decide to renovate it within the coming years. The ride is over 10 years old if I'm correct and they haven't done anything to it sense. Many people have talked about the theme curtains and the bridge? If the park did an entire theme improvement to the ride, what could they do?

Forgive me if this is somewhere obvious, but the search function isn't cooperating with me today. Are there any clean audio files of the station spiels for Verbolten out there somewhere?
